NO DELAYS
“And, behold, the angel of the Lord came upon him, and a light shined in the prison: and he smote Peter on the side, and raised him up, saying, Arise up quickly. And his chains fell off from his hands.” (Acts 12: 7)
That is the Focal Scripture of Streams of Joy Devotional today.
In our Focal Scripture, the angel of the Lord commanded Peter to arise up quickly. The angel did not only require that Peter must arise. He demanded that the rising must be done quickly. The angel demanded for speedy rising from Peter. Peter was not required to rise sluggishly. He was not to rise when it was convenient to rise. He was to rise quickly. He was to rise without wasting time. He was to rise speedily. He was to rise without delays.
Friend, it’s not enough to desire to rise. God requires that you rise quickly. God requires that you rise without further delays. God requires that you hurry up with your rising. God requires that you rise like one who understands that there is no time to waste. God requires that you rise and move before the Herods of this world catch up with you. God requires that you rise like one who has an assignment to fulfill. He requires speedy rising.
Peter had already spent some time in prison. His assignment had already suffered, and he was not required to take all the time in the world while rising. He needed to rise, but it was important that he rose quickly. If you fail to rise quickly, you just might be causing more delays for yourself. If you fail to rise quickly, you just might be giving more room for the enemy to get at you. If you fail to rise quickly, you just might expose yourself to needless destiny pitfalls that will keep you out of relevance.
That voice that normally tells you to delay your rising is not of God. That voice that tells you to delay the fulfillment of your assignment is not of God. That voice that says you can rise later and not immediately, is not of God. That voice that says you should tolerate the prison for one more night, is not of God. Receive grace to rise quickly and move quickly. Receive grace to break forth quickly. Receive grace to rise without delay.
Welcome to that season where you must resist every urge to delay what must be done speedily. Welcome to that season where you must rise quickly.
Ephesians 5: 16 (CEV) says: “These are evil times, so make every minute count.”

Child of God, one of the mysterious things about the Cross is that despite being the one who died, Jesus emerged from that conflict as the triumphant one! His death gave Him power to legitimately visit the land of the dead and deal with the powers and principalities there, and take spoils from them.
What happened on the cross was a public display of the Lord's Triumph!

HANDLE JESUS AND SEE
"Behold My hands and My feet, that it is I Myself. Handle me and see..."
(Luke24:39)
You may never understand the efficacy of God's power until you make bold to reach for it. You may never experience the joy and wonders of His love until you yield to it. It may be difficult for you to witness God's lifting if you don't believe in it.
There are depths and heights prepared for you to attain in this life. Favor unheard of is waiting to collide with you. Unusual kindness wants to welcome you. God wants to beat your imagination.
The scripture says "Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, nor have entered into the heart of man the things which God has prepared for those who love Him.” (1Cor2:9).
But you need to handle Jesus first and see what He will make of your life. Jesus said to the disciples, "Behold my hands and my feet. Handle me and see..."
To handle means to feel, to touch or to hold. The Haemorrhaging woman touched the hem of Jesus' garment and got healed. Blind Bartimeaus touched Him with his incessant cry for mercy and got his sight back. The Syro-Phoenician woman touched Him with her resilience and got her daughter's deliverance.
Mary, Lazarus' sister, held onto his feet and received forgiveness. Peter and John metamorphosed into bold and confident men by simply being with Jesus. The demoniac of Gadara regained his sanity at the feet of Jesus.
The hands and feet of Jesus bear the print of the nails, the mark of his crucifixion. By presenting His hand and feet, Jesus is inviting you to acknowledge and appreciate His sacrifice and accomplishments on the cross, and to take advantage of it for your life to be totally transformed.
Respond to His call today and SEE the absoluteness of His power.

Have you ever wondered why the prosperity mentioned in this scripture has not materialised in your life, yet as a child of God, you have not only confessed, but forsaken your sins?
We need to investigate the scripture more closely and seek to understand what type of "sin" the Word is referring to?
Hear this: Though you have wholehearteldly confessed and abandoned so many sins, there is a particular kind of sin that you keep commiting—a FINANCIAL SIN!
You may be morally upright, but having a sin you are committing in the area of finances. Remember the simplest definition of sin is "missing the mark". Being ignorant of money and the laws that govern it is an example of such a sin.
In this year of the armour of light, make a resolution to acquire as much light as you can. Seek, absorb and accumulate financial knowledge!

𝗣𝗔𝗥𝗧 𝗜 - 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗥𝗛𝗘𝗠𝗔 𝗪𝗢𝗥𝗗
The foundations of the world are under a word - the world was created through the Word. There are three ways of expressing the Word.
𝟭. 𝗧𝗵𝗲𝗼𝗹𝗼𝗴𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗞𝗻𝗼𝘄𝗹𝗲𝗱𝗴𝗲
You can read your Bible and stand in front of people because there is theology in your head. Anyone can speak the Word in this way though it may not carry power. Someone in the beer hall can speak about the Word simply based on theological knowledge.
𝟮. 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗩𝗼𝗶𝗰𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗚𝗼𝗱
This comes through the Man of God. God will inspire the Man of God to preach and teach when you come to church. This goes beyond theology for this expression comes through the inspiration of God and it carries the power of God.
𝟯. 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗥𝗵𝗲𝗺𝗮 𝗪𝗼𝗿𝗱
This is daily bread given unto you. It can come as a vision or through an inspired statement from your Man of God. It is not a Word that is programmed but comes directly through the inspiration of the Spirit of God.
𝗜𝗳 𝗮 𝗥𝗵𝗲𝗺𝗮 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗱 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗻𝗲𝗰𝘁𝘀 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝘀𝗽𝗶𝗿𝗶𝘁, 𝗶𝘁 𝗴𝗶𝘃𝗲𝘀 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗿𝗲𝘀𝘂𝗹𝘁𝘀.
When it's time for praise and worship then you hear the Man of God giving some different declarations, that's a Rhema word. When the Man of God speaks a word after prayer and there is conviction inside him that this word is from God, that is your daily bread. This is a type of word that you must receive. If you receive such a word, results come but most people are not aware of how to receive a Rhema word.
It's not about merely shouting, "I receive!" because your neighbour is receiving. You must receive the word personally.
One needs to have all 3 types of the word. You must read the Bible for general understanding and discuss it in the street. Nonetheless, you must all read the Bible and pray. Do this continuously so that you may receive inspiration. This is another level.
𝗪𝗵𝗲𝗻 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗲 𝘁𝗼 𝗰𝗵𝘂𝗿𝗰𝗵 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲 𝗶𝘀 𝗮 𝗺𝗮𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗯𝗲𝗹𝗶𝗲𝘃𝗲 𝗚𝗼𝗱 𝗵𝗮𝘀 𝗮𝗽𝗽𝗼𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗱, 𝗱𝗼𝗻'𝘁 𝗺𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗹𝘆 𝗹𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗻 𝗱𝘂𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗻𝗼𝗿𝗺𝗮𝗹 𝘁𝗲𝗮𝗰𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘄𝗵𝗲𝗻 𝗵𝗲 𝗼𝗽𝗲𝗻𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗕𝗶𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝗯𝘂𝘁 𝘁𝗮𝗸𝗲 𝗰𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝘁𝗼 𝗹𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗻 𝘁𝗼 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗱𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗵𝗲 𝘀𝗮𝘆𝘀 𝗮𝗳𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗵𝗲 𝗼𝗽𝗲𝗻𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗕𝗶𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝘀𝗲 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗶𝗻𝘀𝗽𝗶𝗿𝗲𝗱 𝘂𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲𝘀. 𝗬𝗼𝘂 𝗻𝗲𝗲𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗱. 𝗬𝗼𝘂 𝗺𝘂𝘀𝘁 𝗿𝗲𝗰𝗲𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗶𝘁.
In our Ministry, many people have received this Rhema word and they have thrived because of those words.
𝗣𝗔𝗥𝗧 𝗜𝗜 - 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗜𝗠𝗣𝗢𝗥𝗧𝗔𝗡𝗖𝗘 𝗢𝗙 𝗣𝗟𝗔𝗡𝗡𝗜𝗡𝗚
In January everyone carries serious energy and expectations. Everyone has goals and lofty dreams. However, if principles and policies aren't followed all this will die as a mere dream.
We do not want your goals to die as dreams but we want them to manifest in the physical. A lot of people grow in mental expectation but fail to transform the mental expectation into physical action. Most people dream and the dream dies.
God operates on His principles. He does not divert from His principles - He abides by His word. One of the most important things God is expecting is for you to plan and to show that you are ready. If you are not ready, forget and smile about the release of your blessing.
We want the blessings but we aren't ready. We want the goodness of God to manifest in our lives but we lack preparedness. Allow me to explain what I mean when I say you must be ready.
𝐺𝑒𝑛𝑒𝑠𝑖𝑠 2:5 𝑁𝐾𝐽𝑉
‘𝑏𝑒𝑓𝑜𝑟𝑒 𝑎𝑛𝑦 𝑝𝑙𝑎𝑛𝑡 𝑜𝑓 𝑡ℎ𝑒 𝑓𝑖𝑒𝑙𝑑 𝑤𝑎𝑠 𝑖𝑛 𝑡ℎ𝑒 𝑒𝑎𝑟𝑡ℎ 𝑎𝑛𝑑 𝑏𝑒𝑓𝑜𝑟𝑒 𝑎𝑛𝑦 ℎ𝑒𝑟𝑏 𝑜𝑓 𝑡ℎ𝑒 𝑓𝑖𝑒𝑙𝑑 ℎ𝑎𝑑 𝑔𝑟𝑜𝑤𝑛. 𝐹𝑜𝑟 𝑡ℎ𝑒 𝐿𝑜𝑟𝑑 𝐺𝑜𝑑 ℎ𝑎𝑑 𝑛𝑜𝑡 𝑐𝑎𝑢𝑠𝑒𝑑 𝑖𝑡 𝑡𝑜 𝑟𝑎𝑖𝑛 𝑜𝑛 𝑡ℎ𝑒 𝑒𝑎𝑟𝑡ℎ, 𝑎𝑛𝑑 𝑡ℎ𝑒𝑟𝑒 𝑤𝑎𝑠 𝑛𝑜 𝑚𝑎𝑛 𝑡𝑜 𝑡𝑖𝑙𝑙 𝑡ℎ𝑒 𝑔𝑟𝑜𝑢𝑛𝑑’
𝗚𝗼𝗱 𝗱𝗶𝗱 𝗻𝗼𝘁 𝘀𝗲𝗻𝗱 𝗮𝗻𝘆 𝗿𝗮𝗶𝗻 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲 𝘄𝗮𝘀 𝗻𝗼𝗯𝗼𝗱𝘆 𝘁𝗼 𝗳𝗮𝗿𝗺. 𝗪𝗲 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗲𝘅𝗽𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗼 𝗿𝗲𝗰𝗲𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝗚𝗼𝗱 𝘆𝗲𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲 𝗶𝘀 𝗻𝗼𝗯𝗼𝗱𝘆 𝘁𝗼 𝗳𝗮𝗿𝗺 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗹𝗮𝗻𝗱. The learned ones say failing to plan results in automatic failure. If you aren't planning anything right now, it means you are hard at work planning to fail.
𝗔𝗿𝗲 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗹𝗹𝘆 𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗱𝘆 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗯𝗹𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗴? 𝗜𝗳 𝘀𝗼, 𝘄𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗵𝗮𝘃𝗲 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗱𝗼𝗻𝗲 𝘁𝗼 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝘃𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝘀?
People don't receive miracles for a simple reason - they aren't ready. Before you receive the blessings of the Lord, every human effort must be exhausted. If all human effort hasn't been exhausted, the Lord looks at you and says, "You are not ready."
Being ready means knowing and planning down to the finest details. You must surprise yourself by how much you know. You must say to the heavens pour your rain for I am ready to till the ground! Do all you can. Research all you can. Go wherever you can. Do not cry for the hand of God when you are clearly showing the heavens that you aren't ready.
𝗜 𝘄𝗮𝗻𝘁 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝘁𝗼 𝗯𝗲 𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗱𝘆. 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗛𝗼𝗹𝘆 𝗦𝗽𝗶𝗿𝗶𝘁 𝗶𝘀 𝘀𝗮𝘆𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗯𝗲 𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗱𝘆. 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗺𝗼𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝘀𝗵𝗼𝘄 𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀, 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝘀𝗵𝗮𝗹𝗹 𝗼𝗯𝘀𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗯𝗹𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗴𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗟𝗼𝗿𝗱 𝘄𝗶𝗹𝗹 𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗿𝘁 𝘁𝗼 𝘀𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗰𝗵 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝘆𝗼𝘂.
Where you end is where the Lord begins. Every Christian should plan. You must have a written document that denotes a plan or strategy for the blessing to land. There is no way I can just pray for you here and millions appear inside your house from nowhere. I've taught you several times that 𝗺𝗶𝗿𝗮𝗰𝗹𝗲𝘀 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗱𝗼𝗻𝗲.
When David went to face Goliath, he had to look for the stone. God then caused the stone to kill Goliath after David hurled it with his sling. He didn't just shout, "Goliath die!". 𝗬𝗼𝘂 𝗻𝗲𝗲𝗱 𝗮 𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗻𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝘄𝗶𝗹𝗹 𝗸𝗶𝗹𝗹 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗚𝗼𝗹𝗶𝗮𝘁𝗵. 𝗧𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗻𝗲 𝗶𝘀 𝗮 𝗰𝗼𝗿𝗿𝗲𝗰𝘁 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗱𝘂𝗰𝘁. 𝗔 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗱𝘂𝗰𝘁 𝗶𝘀 𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘆 𝗶𝗺𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗮𝗻𝘁.
When I speak about being ready, I'm not referring to mental readiness alone. Consider the widow in 2 Kings 4:1-7. She was mentally and spiritually ready to produce more oil when she asked her son to bring her another container (see verse 6). However, when her son told her there were no more containers i.e. there was a lack of physical capacity, the blessing stopped flowing. 𝗣𝗵𝘆𝘀𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝘂𝗻𝗽𝗿𝗲𝗽𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗱𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝗰𝗮𝗻 𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗿 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗳𝗹𝗼𝘄 𝗼𝗳 𝘀𝗽𝗶𝗿𝗶𝘁𝘂𝗮𝗹 𝗯𝗹𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗴𝘀.
𝗗𝗼𝗼𝗿𝘀 𝗺𝘂𝘀𝘁 𝗯𝗲 𝗸𝗻𝗼𝗰𝗸𝗲𝗱 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗻𝗲𝗰𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗮𝗿𝘆 𝗽𝗲𝗼𝗽𝗹𝗲 𝗺𝘂𝘀𝘁 𝗯𝗲 𝗴𝗿𝗲𝗲𝘁𝗲𝗱. 𝗥𝗲𝗹𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗽𝗲𝗼𝗽𝗹𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗰𝗮𝗻 𝗴𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗺𝗼𝗻𝗲𝘆. 𝗥𝗲𝗹𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝘁𝗵𝗼𝘀𝗲 𝘄𝗵𝗼 𝗰𝗮𝗻 𝗴𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸.
In 1 Samuel 17:33-36, Saul doubts whether David is physically ready to fight Goliath. David clearly shows his physical readiness based on his past feats - he has defeated lions and bears before. It is this defined readiness that convinces Saul to allow David to go and kill Goliath. David had already been anointed king by Samuel but he did not immediately take the throne even when the women of Israel were composing songs about him. He had to take years running away from Saul and assembling his band of warriors. The reason that David did not immediately ascend the throne (though he was anointed) was simple - he was not yet ready
You must plan and be ready. Even if you are called by God and you sleeping, that calling will never manifest.
𝗣𝗔𝗥𝗧 𝗜𝗜𝗜 - 𝗧𝗪𝗢 𝗣𝗥𝗜𝗡𝗖𝗜𝗣𝗟𝗘𝗦 𝗢𝗙 𝗠𝗢𝗡𝗘𝗬
𝟭. 𝗠𝗼𝗻𝗲𝘆 𝗛𝗮𝘀 𝗟𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗹𝘀
Certain amounts of money will never "agree" to come to you no matter how good you are because you may not have broken into the level yet.
For example, I can never bring in a billion into Zimbabwe unless the highest governing authorities are aware and are in agreement.
𝟮. 𝗠𝗼𝗻𝗲𝘆 𝗵𝗮𝘀 𝗶𝘁𝘀 𝗼𝘄𝗻 𝗽𝗲𝗼𝗽𝗹𝗲
This is a very deep statement. At any given time, money operates in clusters. If you aren't part of the clusters, you can never break into certain levels of wealth.
There were several children in the house of Jesse (the father of King David). Some of these brothers were trained soldiers. When Goliath came, a reward was placed for the man who could defeat him. One of the rewards was that the family of the man who defeated Goliath would no longer be required to pay taxes. The trained soldiers, the men of war couldn't even scratch Goliath. When David arrived, he killed Goliath and this act benefitted his brothers.
The reason this unfolded in this manner was that money has clusters. In David's family, the money was with David. For the family to succeed, everyone had to rally behind David. That's how money works. In the family of Jacob and Esau, the money was with Jacob.
Unfortunately, in our culture, we accuse anyone successful of using evil powers. The whites have an understanding. If they discover that someone carries a blessing of wealth they fully rally behind that person. The blessing will carry over from the blessed person. The money will break out from the main person. Here in Africa, we compete more than complement each other.
If you follow anyone rich, it does not necessarily mean that they give you money. 𝗪𝗲 𝗳𝗶𝗻𝗱 𝗼𝘂𝗿𝘀𝗲𝗹𝘃𝗲𝘀 𝗶𝗻 𝘀𝗼𝗺𝗲𝗼𝗻𝗲'𝘀 𝘃𝗶𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻.
In the Western world, some families control the wealth of the whole world because the whole family rallies behind the person carrying the blessing of money. When the vision grows, those who have remained loyal are then given pieces of the empire and the money grows. Take a leaf out of how Jewish people do it - money is in families. In Africa, money is in individuals.
The same principle applies to Ministry (the work of the Lord). If God is using someone mightily, there's a time when you must move with that person even if God has called you until you benefit the most. Pride makes one not to see this.
The devil has specialized in dividing us. If we come together to push a vision, we will see ourselves becoming better.
Maybe your family has no David or Jacob. Find someone close to you that is doing well with money. Move with that person I know that your pride can't allow this but you must overcome pride. Follow the example of Laban who did everything he could to keep Jacob around for Jacob was carrying a remarkable aura and blessing. Know that some people can lift your level for they have already surpassed the lower levels. Sanitize your aura so that you can open doors and rise in levels.

You will naturally move away from things that are not aligned with God
2. Prepares you for a greater assignment
There are things that God wants to fulfil and accomplish with you this year, so you must be PREPARED. If you’re not prepared, you will miss it
Fasting and prayer CONSECRATE you
Every time you fast, every time you give, you are not changing God, you are changing YOU
3. It brings the glory of God and His power in your life
4. Enlightens your path
God will speak to you
You will know who to say yes to and who to say no to
Fasting and prayer will lead you right
You will know what to do and what not to do
5. Gives you answers that you cannot get otherwise
There are answers, breakthroughs and solutions that can only come to you when you understand the power of fasting and prayer (Matthew 17:21)
There are kinds of situations that find solutions ONLY through prayer and fasting
The answers you’ve been seeking in God - you will find them in the name of Jesus
Fasting and prayer gives you access to victories you couldn’t get naturally - may you receive victory in your finances, may you see victory in your health and at work, victory in your family and in the work of your hands in 2024.

Some people today question why I don't preach salvation. Within the Body of Christ, there are various callings and offices in the body of Christ, such as prophecy, deliverance, and healing, assigned by God. Operating outside of one's designated office leads to failure, just like a driver attempting to pilot a plane. Different branches, like the celestial and Catholic, have their unique offices. Straying from your designated role results in a downfall, as a driver cannot successfully pilot a plane not meant for his expertise.
Embrace your assigned role within the Body of Christ, for in staying true to your calling, you find strength and purpose.
