To recognise the efforts social media platforms have made to be more inclusive, here’s 3 ways you can improve accessibility of your posts for non visual users ⬇️

1. Add Alt text to your images

Add a description of what is on your image. This feature can be found when you go to create a new post.

2. Use emoji’s sparingly

I always recommend using emojis but keep non visual users in mind when writing your posts. For example ‘🥱🥱🥱’ reads something like ‘ yawn, yawn, yawn’

3. Use CamelCase in your hashtags to split up words. Instead of use

Reach vs Impressions

What are they?

Impressions are the number of times your post has been seen on a screen. This could be multiple times with the same user.

Reach is the number of unique viewers your post has received.

So, if you are looking to build your social media pages, my advice is to focus on measuring your reach over the number of impressions your post has. When this number grows it means your audience is growing too.

New Year, New Look?

Check out our new logo!

Clare's Captures started through lockdown helping businesses by creating return to work videos for staff and the public. You may have seen my work in 2020 with Dann Barbers, The Pulse, University of South Wales and Paul Mansell Driving School.
This was all done whilst maintaining a full time job working from home. In November that year I was recognised for a Regional and National award for my work, which was an incredible experience and something I am very proud of. 2 years later it is still fresh in my mind. In 2021, I took time out to develop, learn and grow my passion for digital marketing.

Now, in 2022 I am here to help you with any of your digital marketing needs.
