SM commander 3 sector carries interactive session in Gund.

Press Trust of Kashmir | Srinagar : Brig Atul Rajput, SM Commander 3 Sector Rashtriya Rifles carried out interaction with presidents of Taxi Union, Market association and Sarpanchs of Block Gund.

An official said the meet was attended by number of local eaders, representing people from various walks of Kashmiri society of Block Gund.

The interactive session saw the leaders having an open conversation with Manasbal Sector Commander with respect to the security issues, he said.

The local representatives were happy and motivated with the discussions for safe and peaceful conduct of the holy Amarnath Yatra were conducted in detail, he added.

Overall the interactive session turned out to be successful as the information shared during the conduct of the same would further strengthen the bond between locals and the security forces, he added further.:-PTK.

Two days Army Multi Specalist Medical Camp ends with the message of peace in Ganderbal district

Press Trust Of Kashmir | Ganderbal : Army of 24 RR in collaboration with Borderless World Foundation (NGO) and J & K Youth Development Forum (NGO) organised Multi Speciality Medical Camp (MSMC) with effect from 03rd Oct 21 to 04th Oct 21 at Khaliqa Town Square opposite New Dist Hospital Ganderbal. Specialist Docters such as Urologist, Heart, Obstetrics, Gynecologist, Orthopedic, Pediatrics, Surgery, ENT, Physician and General Medicine provided Free consultation and medicines.

Official sources told the Press trust of Kashmir that A total of 12 Specialist Docters from Nasik, Maharastra reputed Hospitals and Dist Hospital Ganderbal along with trained medical staff of Indian Army provided treatment to more than 800 locals along with free check up and medicines to Men, Women and children in the camp in two days and ends with the message of peace in Ganderbal district

Locals residents of the area warmly welcomed and they expressed their gratitude towards the Indian Army. The Medical Camp will go a long way in facilitating and extending help to Citizens and moreover will further assist in strengthening the bond of Army with the local population.(PTK).

Army organises Medical camp cm fun game event in Ganderbal

GANDERBAL : Medical camp cm fun game event was organised by 24 RR Bihar at Gadoora area of Central Kashmir's Ganderbal district on Saturday

An official said that during cam army doctors were present there besides that free consultation along with free medicines were given to the people of Gadoora and it's adjacent areas.

He said that on the occasion fun games like carrom, drawing competition and other traditional game events were organised for the fun of childrens.

Meanwhile people of the area have thanked army for organising such events and they organise this camp and hoped that such events will be organised again in the area

Three family members of army man killed in Awantipora

Awantipora(PTK) : Three family member of an army were killed by unknown gunmen at their home in Hariparigam village of Awantipora in South kashmir's Pulwama district on Sunday late evening

An official said that unknown gunmen attacked the cop, identified as Fayaz Ahmad who is father of an Army man at his home, and he died on the spot while his wife an daughter were critically injured in the attack.

He said that the trio was rushed to a nearby healthcare facility, where cop was declared brought dead while as his wife and daughter were shifted to GMC Anantnag treatment.

At GMC Anantnag, his wife identified as Raja Banoo(48) succumbed to her injuries while as his daughter identified as Rafia Jan (25) was shifted to SKIMS Srinagar for advanced treatment, official said.

He added that Rafia also succumbed to her injuries at around 4 am on Monday in SKIMS.

Body of Rafia is being brought to his native village(PTK)

34 Assam Rifles organises medical camp in Mamer Ganderbal

Press Trust of Kashmir | Ganderbal : A medical camp was organised by Mamer Company Operating Base of 34 Assam Rifles under the aegis of 3 Sector Rashriya Rifles at village Mamer on 23 June 2021 under Operations SADBHAVANA and to celebrate 50 years of victory over Pakistan.

An official said that a free consultancy was provided to all age groups of Mamer and other neighbouring villages like Thune A, B, C, Yachama, Dardwooder, Hayan, Cherwan and Hari Ganiwan. Medical care and medicines for the poor and needy people were provided free of cost during the camp.

He said that the camp was organised by the unit Regimental Medical Officer, Medical staff of Wusan Battalion and Doctor Abbas from District Hospital Ganderbal. Adherence to COVID protocols were ensured keeping in mind the ongoing pandemic by implementing social distancing, washing of hands and use of Sanitizers.

He further added that lecture on health awareness was delivered in which emphasis was laid upon maintainance of hygiene and sanitation as well as preventive measures against COVID Pandemic, followed by a class in which demonstration on Basic Life Support was given by the Regimental Medical Officer.

Pertinently, the local people participated with great enthusiasm in this practical demonstration.

Official added that a total of 149 people ( 52 Males, 59 females and 38 children) were treated and provided medicines at the camp.

Notably, unceasing efforts by Wusan Battalion to reach out to the local people was appreciated by local administration and the villagers.

They hoped that such events will continue in the area.(PTK)

24 RR organises two days Martial Art Training capsule near Manasbal lake

Ganderbal : In continuation with its endeavor towards constructive engagement with the youth, two days Martial Art Trg capsule * was organised near Manasbal Lake to empower the youth .

An official said that a total of 30 Local youth participated in the event and more than 50 expressed their desire to join such events. The winners were presented with a small appreciation gift.

He said that Martial Arts demo program has been organised by 24 rr Badampura at Manasbal park

He added that Ninjas sports academy Badampura took part in this programme and around 30 Martial arts were displayed

He added that a huge gathering was witnessed this event.

One of the participants said that Army has always taken great steps for the welfare of the local youth and we hope that such type of more steps will taken in future so that youth from every corner of Kashmir can avail the benefit.

Later large number of youth have taken admission on spot, he added.

They hoped that such kind of skill programme will benefit youth of the locality to great extend.

They also thanked the local army camp of 24 RR for remaining on the forefront at all even and odd items.(PTK)

Milkman allegedly selling liquor to drunkards arrested from Kulgam

Kulgam, June 17, KNT: Police arrested a milkman for allegedly selling liquor to drunkards in South Kashmir’s Kulgam district.

Local sources told news agency Kashmir News Trust that a milkman instead of milk was selling liquor bottles to drunkards in Damhal Hanjipora area of Kulgam.

Shortly after receiving information, a police party from DH Pora raided the shop of milkman and recovered five liquor bottles.

The milkman has been identified as Shakir Ahmed Sheergogri son of Ghulam Nabi, a resident of Gadihama Kulgam. The raid was conducted in his shop at Nihama village.

Police sources while confirmed the arrest of accused milkman said that a formal case against him has been registered. (KNT)

An official said that with an aim to engage the local youth constructively amid the covid pandemic, Army Camp, Badampura (Ganderbal) organised Endurance Race for the local youth who participated in Cycling Race, Treasure hunt and Hill Racing with a lot of josh and enthusiasm.



The youth were very excited and expressed their gratitude for organising such events.

An official said that a Mobile med camp for the local Awaam of Dagarpura was organised by Army camp Dagarpura.

He said that the Army medical team reached the remote villages of the area with an aim to reach out to the people and spread Health awareness, treating them and providing them with medical supplies and the basic medical aid.

He added that medical camp was requested by the locals and the Army delivered .

He further added that this human gesture of Indian Army was appreciated by one and all. Such activities help in strengthening the Army-Awaam bonding

Army Conducts boat race at Waskura Lake

Ganderbal: A boat race was organised by Army camp Badampura of Indian Army at Waskura Lake with an aim of encouraging the youth and promoting tourism.

An official said that a total of 40 local youth participated in the event. The race was an effort to display and highlight the beauty of the area and to engage the local youth constructively amid the pandemic.

The event was witnessed by a good number of people
