𝙉𝙀𝙒𝙎 | SN-SHS Officially Closes SY ’24 in its 7th Commencement Exercise

After a week-long graduation preparation, SN-SHS successfully conducted its 7th Commencement Exercise at Mother of Perpetual Help Parish Hall, June 10, 2024.

The ceremony began with the processional of graduates, parents, and school personnel. Sir John Carlo Santos led the prayer, followed by the Nicholasian Scouts presenting the Entrance of Colors.

School principal, Sir Ian Radge Melad, left a heartwarming opening remark to welcome the attendees and acknowledge the school’s partner companies.

As a symbol of passing the honor and responsibilities of a leader, the now formerly Nicholasian Council of Leaders (NCL) bestowed the Nicholasian Mission Cross to the newly elected NCLs. The recently proclaimed leaders stood before the audience, sincerely promising their loyalty, respect, and duties to the school during the oath-taking rites.

With pride and a smile, each student walked up on stage to receive their diploma, certificate, and medal. This event marked the end of the students’ high school years, celebrated their hard work, and honored their achievements.

Nicholasian Excellence in Academics awardee, Ashrey Nichole Esteban delivered her sentimental speech reminiscing the memories she shared with the Nicholasian community and leaving a reminder for her fellow graduates. "To my fellow graduates, always remember, don’t study with a fear of failing, instead study with a hope of succeeding; because I believe, failures and disappointments are part of the beauty of success.", Esteban emphasized during her speech.

Mrs. Maricel A. Esteban, the said awardee’s parent, gave her message to the graduates and parents, as well as her appreciation to the school for giving two years of services for her daughter.
Meanwhile, the batch 2023-2024 graduates offered heartfelt songs to the attendees. This is followed by the School Director’s, Sir Rudy Aquino’s, closing remarks providing a gist of the school’s future endeavors.

The SN-SHS 7th commencement exercise ended with the traditional singing of the Nicholasian Hymn.

𝙉𝙀𝙒𝙎 | Nicholasians, Tumanggap ng Parangal sa Araw ng Pagkilala ‘24

Pinatunayang muli ng mga Nicholasian sa ika-11 baitang ang pagiging achiever sa nakaraang Araw ng Pagkilala 2024 na ginanap sa Mother of Perpetual Help Parish Hall, ika-10 ng Hunyo ng nasabing taon.

Sa ganap na ika-9 ng umaga sinimulan ang programa na pinangunahan ng Pambungad na Pananalita ni Sir Rudy Aquino, SN-SHS School Director. Nag-abot ng papuri ang direktor sa mga batang nagkamit ng mga karangalan sa larang ng akademiko at sa iba pa.

Sinundan ito ng pagpaparangal sa mga piling kawani ng SN-SHS na nakapag-alay na ng limang taong serbisyo sa paaralan. Kinilala dito ang mga sumusunod: Security Officer, Chief Cristy Cheng; Data Privacy and Records Officer, Sir Crisanto Dela Vega; at School Principal, Sir Ian Radge Melad.

Bilang pagpapatuloy sa pagbibigay ng karangalan, agad ding sinimulan ang paggagawad sa: mga Nicholasian na nagkamit ng karangalan sa larang ng akademiko; mga mag-aaral na pinatunayan ang sarili sa pagiging atleta; mga batang aktibong nakilahok sa mga aktibidad ng paaralan; at ang mga Nicholasian na naging repleksyon ng pagkakaroon ng mabuting asal.

Sa pagtatapos, nagbigay ng talumpati ng pasasalamat at mensahe ang nagkamit ng pinakamataas na marka sa ika-11 na baitang, John Carlo Cayetano, mula sa pangkat ng 11 St. Ezekiel Moreno.

𝙉𝙀𝙒𝙎 | SN-SHS, Nagdaos ng Misa ng Pasasalamat ‘24

Bilang pagdiriwang sa pagtatapos ng kasalukuyang panuruan, nag-alay ng Misa ng Pasasalamat ang buong komunidad ng St. Nicholas Senior High School, ika-29 ng Mayo, 2024.

Pinangunahan ng Mahal na Obispo Lubhang Kgg. Sofronio A. Bancud, SSS.DD. ang nasabing misa na napuno ng aral, pagbati, at galak. Dito ay binigyang diin na rin ng obispo ang kahalagahan ng pag-alala sa buong taon, at pagkilala sa mga biyayang ibinigay sa komunidad ng paaralan. Hinikayat nito ang mga mag-aaral na pahalagahan ang mga pagsisikap ng kanilang mga g**o at pamilya, na nagpapaalala sa kanila na ang kanilang mga tagumpay ay bunga ng suporta at gabay na kanilang tinanggap.

Sa pagpapatuloy ng misa, naghandog ang mga mag-aaral ng mga regalo na sumisimbolo ng pasasalamat para sa mga biyayang kanilang tinanggap.

Samantala, bilang pag-alala sa kanilang karanasan nang magkakasama, nagtapos ang selebrasyon sa pangkabuuan at pangkatang pictorial. Ito ay marahang pagkilala sa mga tagumpay na nakamit ng bawat Nicholasian sa tulong ng kanilang kamag-aral.

𝙉𝙀𝙒𝙎 | SN-SHS Shares Nicholasian Spirit in Leadership Conference '24
April 27, 2024

With the theme, 'CONNECT: Leadership Conference “…God intended it all for good…”, St. Nicholas Senior High School (SN-SHS) welcomed a groundbreaking event as it hosted its Leadership Conference (LeadCon) on April 27, 2024.

The LeadCon invited Grade 10 students from various schools across Cabanatuan City to partake in the said event.

The highlight of the conference was a keynote address delivered by SN-SHS Principal, Sir Ian Radge Melad, who shared insights on the importance of effective leadership, their influence and the journey towards becoming exemplary leaders.

Various activities were offered for the guests to try namely: School Tour, where offices, laboratories, areas and rooms were opened to be explored; Game Booth, which had puzzles and challenges with prizes; Marketing Booth, where selected Nicholasians were given a chance to sell their own products; and Photo Booth for self-expression.

As the event drew to a close, participants were awarded certificates of participation, a tangible acknowledgment of their commitment to the event held.

It is worth noting that this milestone gathering was orchestrated by the newly inaugurated Nicholasian Council of Leaders, signaling a promising start to future endeavors in youth leadership development within the school community.

𝙉𝙀𝙒𝙎 | SN-SHS Intensifies Transparency and Community Engagement in Parents’ Assembly ‘24
April 25, 2024

With the aims to foster open communication and to strengthen connection with its stakeholders, St. Nicholas Senior High School welcomed the students’ guardians to its annual Parents’ Assembly, this April 25, 2024.

Nicholasian Dance Club began the program with its lively performance, followed by the opening remarks from the School Director, Sir Rudy P. Aquino.

Key school administrators discussed the agendas of the meeting: with School Registrar, Sir Cris Dela Vega explaining the school's voucher program; and Finance Officer, and Ma'am Angelie Abique addressing the school’s expenses for the transparency on financial matters.

Meanwhile, Ma'am Phoebe Nicole Bayudan, the school’s academic coordinator, highlighted student achievements through the presentation of the list of honor students.

School Principal, Sir Ian Radge Melad, reminded the parents about how their support impacts the students on honing their leadership. Students from the General Academic Strand (Thea Venise Orani and Jefferson Centeno) supported the principal’s notion through sharing the findings of their research study entitled, “Social Support System and Leadership Confidence: A Quantitative Study Among Grade 12 Nicholasian Leaders.”

As the last part of the assembly, parents per grade level were divided for different agendas. Parents of Grade 11 students were guided to the designated rooms for electing their PTA Officers, while parents of Grade 12 students received an orientation about the process of the upcoming work immersion. Both of which ended with individual consultations with the teachers.
With this event, SN-SHS hopes to connect to the community beginning from one of its closet stakeholders, the students’ family.

𝙄𝙉 𝙋𝙃𝙊𝙏𝙊𝙎 | Nicholasians Walk with Christ in SN SHS Way of Cross '24

To commemorate the Passion of Christ, SN SHS held its Via Crucis or Way of the Cross, March 18, 2024.

Students walked through the 14 Stations reflecting on the suffering, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ.

Selected Grade 11 Nicholasians from
St. Ezekiel Moreno and St. Thomas of Villanova reenacted the said stations.

𝙄𝙉 𝙋𝙃𝙊𝙏𝙊𝙎 | SN SHS launches Nicholasian Youth Camp '24

In preparation for the regiment of the next school year's student organizations, St. Nicholas Senior High School of Cabanatuan City, Inc. opened its very own Nicholasian Youth Camp for the students, last March 8–9, 2024.

Students received various lectures regarding the responsibilities and characteristics of a spiritual leader.

Meaningful conversations and enjoyable activities sparked leadership knowledge and action during the aforementioned event.
It held challenging games and enriching activities like community count and blind walk.

The event designed these segments to mold the Nicholasians for the most-awaited part of electing the Nicholasian Council of Leaders for school year 2024-2025.

Kinoronahan sa SN-SHS Masquerade Ball ‘24

Itinanghal na Nicholasian Ambassador at Ambassadresss’ 24 sina Ayella Mae Mendoza at Arron Josh Esteban sa ginanap na SN-SHS Masquerade Ball 2024 noong ika- 8 ng Pebrero, 2024.

Maalalang nauna nang ipinakita ng mga kandidata ang kani-kanilang talento at galing sa pag-rampa noong mga nakaraang aktibidad ng paaraalan.

Ipinagpatuloy ang labanan ng mga kandidato at kandidata sa nasabing Ball na nahati sa dalawang bahagi: production number at question and answer.

Matatandaang binuksan ang aktibidad na ito noong ika-22, Enero ng nasabing taon, at nagpatuloy sa loob ng tatlong araw.

Ginanap ang naunang dalawang araw nito sa Barangay Genera Luna Gymnasium, kung saan ginanap ang mga larong basketball, volleyball, badminton, scrabble, chess, at rubic's cube. Samantalang isinagawa ang Laro ng Lahi sa nalalabi nitong araw sa St. Nicholas of Tolentine Parish Cathedral Gymnasium.

Masayang tumanggap ng medalya at sertipiko ang mga Nicholasians na nagwagi sa iba't-ibang laro.

Umaasa naman ang Direktor ng Paaralan, G. Rudy P. Aquino, na maging kampyeon ang mga Nicholasians hindi lamang sa mga naunang mga laro kundi maging sa kanilang pipiliing landas sa buhay.

𝙉𝙀𝙒𝙎 | SN SHS Intramurals '24, Matagumpay na Binuksan

Nagpakitang gilas ang mga Nicholasians sa unang araw ng SN SHS Intramurals 2024 na ginanap sa Barangay General Luna Gymnasium, 22 ng Enero, 2024.

Kapanapanabik ang labanan ng bawat kupunan sa larangan ng Badminton, Basketball, Yell, at maging sa Search for Nicholasian Ambassador and Ambassadress 2024.

Dikit ang kompetisyon sa pagitan ng mga grupo na nahahati sa: Pink Panther Dominators, Green Mighty Mantis, Yellow Growling Tigresses, Red Blazing Scorpions, at Blue Eagles.

Binuksan ang programa ng tradisyunal na pagsisindi ng sulo na pinangunahan ng Sports Club President, Jefferson Centeno at ang mga bumubuo ng Nicholasian Council of Leaders (NCL).

Nagpatuloy ang magandang daloy nito, bagaman pagod ang mga Nicholasians ay kitang-kita pa rin ang saya sa kanilang mga mukha.

Sa matagumpay na pagbubukas ng unang araw ng programa, higit na kinaaabangan ang nalalabing dalawang araw ng pagpapatuloy ng SN SHS Intramurals 2024.
