TROPICAL UPDATE A tropical wave west of Africa has the potential to develop as it approaches the Lesser Antilles next week. Where it goes beyond the Caribbean is too early to determine. If it becomes a tropical storm the next name is Bonnie.

This could be a bit of a game changer over the next couple weeks. A fresh plume of Saharan Dust headed for the western Atlantic, Caribbean, gulf and Florida by early next week. Still possible to get development, but this would make things a lot more difficult.
FRED FUTURE RADAR 🌀 New Hi-Res Model walking you through Saturday & Sunday across SW Florida. Even with the center offshore, lopsided Fred will still bring in bands of rain on the eastern side + occasional gusty wind. Watch for flooding, but overall impact is minimal.
Storms are rapidly firing on radar, and it should be a stormy next several hours as they push across the area. Threats include heavy rain, gusty winds, and frequent lightning.
