"I went there one night, invited by a friend, and I thought it was a spectacular theatre — everyone was so gorgeous, the vibe was so right. (...)
I took pictures for a while, but they were these frozen moments that couldn’t capture everything that was happening. There was just too much going on. Photography wasn’t the right medium. Zwei Wochen noch, dann geht's bei uns noch heißer her: wir ziehen mit euch in einen lesbischen Strip-Club! SHAKEDOWN!

"Im Jahr 2002 hat Leilah Weinraub das erste Mal ein Shakedown-Event besucht – eine Club-Strip-Dance-Party für die q***re Westküstenszene, betrieben von und gerichtet vor allem an Frauen. Schon bald hat sie dann angefangen, die Auftritte und Shows der Tänzerinnen – Shakedown Angels genannt – zu filmen. Über 400 Stunden Filmmaterial ist dabei zusammengekommen, das die Basis für ihren Film Shakedown darstellt..."

So hat ForteForte angefangen: ein Besuch im Archiv und denken: wow, das müssen mehr Leute sehen! Ihr.
Immer am 4. Samstag / Monat im Club Culture Houze

Once again, the Schwules Museum makes its p_rn film collection accessible, the largest of its kind in any German institution. We invite all p_rn lovers to watch and discuss old gay p**n flicks on VHS, DVD and Super 8 at the archive.
The p_rn film collection houses roughly 3.000 items and shows the variety of gay p_rnography from the 1970s to the early 2000s, ranging from mainstream to kinky underground productions, and from commercial tapes to private video bootlegs.
Participants will be watching and discovering p_rn in groups, and together we will be examining the films’ importance as historical, archival and erotic artefacts. Participants will get to know the collection, its place within the larger q***r archive as well as the materials’ endangered physical status. We especially invite p_rn and s_x workers, filmmakers, artists, curators and researchers to the workshop as we are also open to starting future projects with them. Yet all participants may bring their own interests and desires to the table.

Im Dezember ist kein Screening - aber wir schauen Filme für euch, für 2023! Hier zwei DVDs, die zu uns gefunden haben.
"alberne Kostüme", "viele tarshbunte Toys" - das klingt doch geil, oder? Vielleicht kriegt ihr die gleich im Januar zu sehen - am 28.1. ist unser erstes Screening des neuen Jahres.
