Indo-Israel Centre of Excellence for Vegetables Protected Cultivation has been set up at Khetri, Assam in presence of Assam Chief Minister, Sarbananda Sonowal, Ambassador of Israel to India, Ron Malka on November 2, 2020.
This Rs 10-crore project with Israel is set up to support and boost agriculture in the state.

Bornali Gogoi becomes the first Assamese woman to be commisioned as a Wing Commander of Indian Air Force (IAF)

She joined the IAF on May 27, 1996, as a pilot officer and later, she was promoted to flying officer and flying lieutenant.

Bornali Gogoi belongs to Lakhimpur district of Assam.

Jishnu Barua to be the next Chief Secratery(CS) of Assam succeding present CS Kumar Sanjay Krishna.

Barua is a senior IAS of the batch 1988 and is currently serving as the additional chief secretary for Home and Political, Revenue and Disaster Management and Assam Accord Implementation departments.

He will take charge as the State’s chief secretary on Saturday.

AASU & AJYCP have launced their new political party ASSAM JATIYA PARISHAD with the sole motto "Assam First, Always and Ever"

The party has been formed one the basis of the massive protest in Assam against Citizenship Ammendment Act(2019) as the idea of setting up a new regional political party to contest in the Assembly election 2021 in Assam has been there since the begining of the anti-CAA protest.

In this scheme Rs 50000 entrepreneurship grant will be provided to 2 lakh educated unemployed youths of Assam
