Trying to picture how devastated and disappointed Joseph felt when he was sold into slavery, especially because the present reality of slavery didn't look a bit like the glory he was shown twice by God about his future.
Thinking of the several times he might have called on to God to take him out of the prison or even give him an escape back to his father's country but God was silent.
I wonder the pains of rejection he had gone through, being abandoned by friends is painful but being abandoned/betrayed by family is a different level of pain entirely. He went through deep emotional pains, especially knowing he had no one person by his side.
How he was able to deal with all those baggages leaves one in wonder.
At the end, through God's grace, he pulled through.
He realized one thing, God showed him the glory and never the route that leads there. That slavery route was the predestined route to take Joseph to his throne.
Just like Joseph, you may be going through your "route" to the glory you were shown, hang in there, God isn't silent, he's working behind the scenes to make sure you get there.
