The Marvel Cinematic Universe has been setting the stage for a Blade film for several years now. Excitingly enough, we’re closer than ever to production, and the cast is coming together. It’s just been revealed that Mia Goth has joined the cast of Blade.

Mia Goth has become a major name in the horror community for her performances in films like X and Pearl. She’s also appeared in projects that include A Cure for Wellness, the recent Infinity Pool, and the upcoming film Ma###ine. As such, seeing the star join the MCU – and for Blade, no less – is exciting news.

As shared via Deadline, however, it’s uknown who Goth could specifically be playing in the film. But with her acting credits – it’s certainly going to be a character to remember. Hopefully we’ll have more cast and plot news soon.

Marvel Studios first announced Blade as far back as 2019. The film has gone through several directors in an effort to find the right path for the project. The film is now slated to be directed by Yann Demange with Michael Starrbury penning the script. Additionally, Kevin Feige is set to produce.

Actor Mahershala Ali is set to play the title character Blade. As mentioned, we’ll have to see who Mia Goth will end up playing in Blade, but it’ll certainly be fun to see her and Ali on the screen together. The past three Blade films featured actor Wesley Snipes in the titular role up until 2004 with Blade: Trinity. Additionally, Sticky Fingaz portrayed the character for a short-lived television series in 2006. This will be the first live-action Blade project since then.

Zendaya is currently facing criticism on social media after having made what some have called “xenophobic” remarks. Specifically, Zendaya made some comments regarding her boyfriend Tom Holland’s British accent.

The two have been dating one another for several years now. It’s been a relationship followed closely on social media, not only because they’re both celebrities, but that it mirrors their own fictional relationship in the Spider-Man franchise. Tom Holland plays Peter Parker while Zendaya plays his love interest, MJ.

As mentioned, however, some fans are now criticizing their relationship. It’s all because of a recent interview Zendaya participated in with The Sun. Interestingly, Zendaya admits to loving Holland’s accent, but that it’s his use of slang that throws her off.

“I love the British accent, but as much as Tom tries to explain it to me, I will never understand rhyming slang” she begins. “Like I understand the concept — but what do apples and pears have to do with stairs? It’s cute when he tells me all the different phrases — but I really don’t get it!”

Of course, what really matters is how Tom Holland feels about Zendaya’s comments. And if he’s still okay with her sense of humor and how she interprets his accent or use of slang – then that’s what counts. Unfortunately, the two have such a massive following online, it’s going to be difficult to avoid backlash or even rumors at any given time. It’s safe to say that Warner Bros succeeded in turning The Conjuring into a cinematic universe. Now, however, the world of The Conjuring is being expanded with a new streaming series!

Warner Bros Discovery has announced as much in a series of other exciting announcements for their new MAX streaming service. The new Conjuring series, as shared via Deadline, is being developed for the Max streaming service. Furthermore, a familiar face is involved with the development of the show.

As they’ve shared:

“Peter Safran is developing a drama series based on New Line Cinema’s film franchise with Warner Bros. Television.”

For those worried that this series might neglect the current storylines, however, don’t be. It’s been further stated that it will “continue the story established in the feature films.”

It’s worth noting that Peter Safran is a producer on The Conjuring, The Conjuring 2, Annabelle: Creation, Annabelle Comes Home, The Conjuring: The Devil Made Me Do It, and the upcoming film The Nun 2. With his involvement in the franchise, he’s a perfect choice to help steer this series in the right direction. The only two installments he hasn’t produced include Annabelle and The Nun.

James Wan’s Atomic Monster Productions and Peter Safran’s The Safran Company are set to produce the series in association with Warner Bros. Television. Hopefully we’ll have more details soon. The film franchise has certainly sprinkled many exciting plot points over the years. But, given the infrequent release schedule, it’s possible that television will be a better format overall.

In the meantime, fans can begin looking forward to The Nun 2. The upcoming sequel to The Nun is set to be released later this year. Bonnie Aarons will once again portray the titular villain who first appeared in The Conjuring 2.

A24 is preparing to shock audiences with a brand-new horror film titled Talk to Me. Fans can get their first look at Talk to Me in the newly-released trailer featured below.

The new film is the feature directorial debut of twin brother filmmakers Danny and Michael Philippou. Excitingly enough, the project has already been a popular hit following its premiere at the Sundance film festival. Now, however, audiences and horror fans will get to see the feature on the big stream when A24 gives it a wide release.

In the meantime, of course, fans can get a glimpse at the film with the newly-released trailer. It delivers just enough footage to keep you on the edge of your seat and eager for more. Especially given the creative substitute for a Ouija board being that of an embalmed hand. There’s no telling what else might be in store for this highly-anticipated horror outing.

A24 also had the following to say in a post teasing the trailer:

“Scariest A24 trailer ever, hands down.”

“When a group of friends discover how to conjure spirits using an embalmed hand, they become hooked on the new thrill, until one of them goes too far and unleashes terrifying supernatural forces.”

This past year was a great year for original horror movies and indie filmmakers. Let’s hope that this streak continues to go strong in 2023. And, by the looks of this particular film, it looks like it will be.

Danny and Michael Philippou both wrote and directed the film. The screenplay was penned by Danny Philippou and Bill Hinzman. The producers for the project are Samantha Jennings and Kristina Ceyton.

The cast of Talk to Me includes Sophia Wilde, Joe Bird, Alexandra Jensen, Otis Dhanji, Miranda Otto, Marcus Johnson, Alexandria Steffensen, Zoe Terakes, and Chris Alosio.

Stranger Things fans have watched Mille Bobby Brown’s acting career grow over the years. Now she’s taking a major step in her personal life. Millie Bobby Brown has just announced on social media that she’s officially engaged.

Fans will know that Millie Bobby Brown has been in a relationship with Jake Bongiovi, the son of musician Jon Bon Jovi. Elizabeth Hurley recently visited the Vakkaru Maldives beach resort. And, while there, Elizabeth Hurley the opportunity to show off her body on Instagram in a white bikini and brand-new limited edition Antibes robe.

The video features Hurley in a gorgeous beach setting with the blue ocean clearly visible behind her. Additionally, her limited edition robe is a light turqouise blue color that perfectly fits in with the tropical scenery. Hurley continues to walk around the beach while Childish Gambino’s “Redbone” plays.

“Welcome to the glorious ,” she writes in the video’s caption. “wearing my new limited edition Antibes Robe.” She adds that it’s currently available on her website as “The Antibes Robe.” As such, fans of her outfit can recreate their own by purchasing the robe from Hurley’s site.

If nothing else, she certainly knows how to sell an outfit. Of course, the 57-year-old celebrity has still been busy with her acting career. She also played Georgia in the 2021 TV film Welcome to Georgia, and had a role as Morgan le Fay in the Marvel series Runaways. It’s certainly great to see that after so many years she’s still managed to have quite the career for herself both in and out of film and television. Netflix has once again cancelled a beloved series from their streaming platform. This time, however, the cancellation was decided after the show’s star called the newest season “gimmicky.”

The age of social media has certainly taught those in the film industry to be careful with what they say. The consequences are often not worth it. Now, after one star called the second season of this new Netflix series “gimmicky” while speaking on the Not Skinny But Not Fat podcast, the hit show has been cancelled.

The cancellation was confirmed via Today. As a result, fans of Sex/Life will be disappointed to know that there will not be a third season of the show. This comes just days after star Sarah Shahi told the podcast that the show’s second season included “more moments that felt very gimmicky.”

She continued:

“Those kinds of things for me are always really hard to read… But I didn’t have to do them. The boys did. There were other things that I just felt I couldn’t get behind, and it was just challenging. But that’s part of what I do!” she said. “I’m not always gonna get along or agree with a filmmaker. I’m not always gonna like what I have to do or say. But that’s my job, to make it believable.”

She further explained her comment by discussing the differences between shooting the second season over the first:

“I’m not going to put it down, but I definitely did not have the support that I did the first season from the people involved in the show. It became a much different thing for me, and I’m not afraid to say that,” Shahi said. “I struggled with the material. I just felt the thing that it had the first season — I mean, I’m never gonna work for Netflix again now after saying all this, but I can’t lie. And it was definitely a challenge.”

Zendaya is known for playing MJ in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. As you can see below, however, Zendaya has been portrayed as part of the DC Universe – specifically as The Flash.

It’s certainly a big jump for someone who hasn’t played a superhero. Of course, Zendaya’s career has been booming lately, with appearances in everything from Dune to Euphoria. In fact, there are even reports that she could be appearing in a new iteration of The Fly.

As such, what about The Flash? Well, actor Ezra Miller is currently attached to the role. And while they’ll be appearing as the character in the upcoming film adaptation – it’s unknown what the future holds. Miller has been involved with several legal debacles that could make a recast likely. And though Zendaya would unlikely be the one chosen to take the part – GFR still imagined what that could look like.

One aspect that fans will notice is that Zendaya isn’t wearing the iconic mask. Of course, as they note, actor Grant Gustin from the Flash television series often removes his as well. This also better gives fans an idea of what Zendaya could look like as the character. As for the superhero suit itself, it appears to be quite faithful to past iterations, with the iconic Flash logo front-and-center.

We’ll have to see whether or not Ezra Miller is actually replaced following their upcoming solo film appearance. And while there are numerous actors that could take the part – Zendaya is certainly an interesting choice. Of course, given her current trajectory, it wouldn’t be surprising to see her end up in a superhero role anyways. In the meantime, she’ll likely continue to play the MCU’s MJ.

It might not be surprising seeing “Star Wars” and “meltdown” in the same sentence. However, it may be surprising to know that the most recent meltdowns were triggered by cameos from Lizzo and Jack Black in The Mandalorian.

The Star Wars franchise has branched out via numerous films and television shows under ownership of Disney. As such, we’ve seen a diverse range of reactions over the years. The Mandalorian happened to be a highlight of these reactions – with many fans praising the series. For its current season, however, fans seem to be less than pleased.

One such reason, as you can see below, is that The Mandalorian features cameos from Lizzo and Jack Black. The two celebrities play a pair of diplomatic characters in the series. And while some viewers enjoyed what they had to offer the galaxy far, far away… others had major issues with their inclusion. In fact, some believe it’s the end of Star Wars as we know it.

One user on Twitter claims that this means Star Wars “isn’t for us nerds anymore.” And, without addressing that Star Wars introduced celebrity cameos as soon as 1978 in The Star Wars Holiday Special, they continue their criticisms. “We who respect the lore & would be in tears after being cast in one of the movies or shows.”

Of course, as is the case with a franchise as big as Star Wars, there are many divisive responses. Although many users felt that this post is an example of overreacting – other Twitter users agreed. It’s clear that Star Wars has grown as a property over the years, but it’s always been a major hit globally. It seems like a stretch to assume that there should only be a niche audience for a franchise that’s known for changing the world of cinema as we know it.

In any case, Disney is undoubtedly showing no signs of stopping. The Star Wars franchise is bound to continue with the occasional celebrity cameo. If nothing else, it’s worth being grateful to have seen Christopher Lloyd appear in the same episode. Especially after the highlight that was hearing him say the name of a very beloved Star Wars villain in his iconic voice.

The television series American Horror Story has been captivating audiences for more than ten seasons now. Excitingly enough, not only will American Horror Story be returning for Season 12, but it’s been revealed that Kim Kardashian and Emma Roberts will star.

As shared via THR, celebrity Kim Kardashian has joined the cast of this latest season. The new season is set to be the first of the series to have been written and showrun by a single writer: Halley Feiffer. Ryan Murphy, the co-creator of the series, released a statement regarding Kardashian’s involvement.

Here’s what Murphy shared:

“Kim is among the biggest and brightest television stars in the world and we are thrilled to welcome her to the AHS family,” Murphy began. “Emma and I are excited about collaborating with this true force in the culture. Halley Feiffer has written a fun, stylish and ultimately terrifying role especially for Kim, and this season is ambitious and unlike anything we have ever done.”

Additionally, it looks like there will be another first for the iconic property with this season. It will be based on an existing story. THR notes that the new season will be titled “Delicate,” with a story based on Danielle Valentine’s upcoming novel Delicate Condition. The premise of the novel is as follows:

“The novel is described as a gripping thriller about a woman who becomes convinced that a sinister figure is going to great lengths to make sure her pregnancy never happens.”
