The Áwtni Shixwit Iníit is committed to addressing the critical issue of Missing and Murdered Indigenous Peoples (MMIP). We are pleased to invite you to attend the upcoming MMIP Symposium Building Bridges: Collaborative Partnerships on May 7th from 8am to 5PM.
This symposium will bring together tribal leaders, advocates, and experts to discuss the MMIP crisis and explore solutions. The agenda will include guest speakers :

Human remains found in November 2008 in a remote area of the Yakama Reservation have been identified as those of a White Swan, Wash., woman missing since summer 1987.
