➡️ Not to miss: The Runway section is great if you are looking for high-end and designer items. I also thought the shoe selection was amazing ( be sure to look all over the store- they have some super creative shoe displays!!)

Hello my friends! It's a new month, which means we have a new round of Loudoun Thrift Picks at Hope's Treasures Good Shepherd of Northern Virginia . We're at the Leesburg location this time!

Now that the weather is warmer, I'm all about cute tanks & shorts, comfy dresses, sandals & sneakers.
I've picked out some of my favorites for you!

New Thrift Recap! After all this time, I finally made it to the Blue Ridge Hospice Thrift Store in Berryville!! And if you haven't been, then this is a must do afternoon!

Smaller and cozier than the Purcellville or Leesburg locations but still EXTREMELY well organized. It's basically a mini version of those stores. We were amazed at how easy it was to get around and find everything.

Since it's in a small town, you will find some amazing vintage/antique items. Check out that steamer trunk!

Overall, a great selection of clothing, housewares, decor. The pastel party glasses were so tempting!

Totally worth the drive from Loudoun ( only about 45 min from Eastern Loco). We made an afternoon of it. Here are some other cute places we visited:

What a month April has been! I know we have a week to go, but I wanted to reflect on and share the amazing opportunities I've been given this month!

➡️ Thank you to the new Dulles Goodwill Goodwill of Greater Washington for inviting me as an influencer to cover the Grand Opening. I was so honored to be part of such a special day and meet so many wonderful people. I've never experienced anything like this Opening! This store is gorgeous!

Friday Thrift Fit! On location at the new Dulles/Sterling Goodwill Goodwill of Greater Washington . Who's already visited?? Who's going?

Today's outfit is fully thrifted, down to shoes and bag, too! An easy way to look dressed up- simple black tank & leggings topped off with a great jacket. I'm all about dressing easy!

Fun fact: I was actually able to button this jacket for the first time ever. Just a little non scale victory for me

Trying to embrace the straight hair 🤣. If you've known me, then you know it's stick straight, but I usually curl it. This particular morning, I had to get up early and had no time. So we went with this look!

My friends! Today, we have the recap of the long-awaited Dulles Goodwill Grand Opening!! Goodwill of Greater Washington

You will love the size of this store!! Large enough for an amazing selection but not so big that you feel lost

Very well organized. I absolutely adored the shoe section and walked out with 3 pairs ( Madewell flats for $10!!!!!). Brand names everywhere 🙂

The housewares and art?? Chef's kiss!!! So many fabulous large pieces, mirrors, decor accents. I got the cutest wreath for only $5!!! Small furniture selection also.

Fitting rooms!!! And lots of mirrors all over the store.

This is very sad news to me, my friends. As you know, Big Lots is one of my favorites! Candles, decor items, after Christmas bargains- these will be missed.

I loved the location, but at least there's still a nearby location in Sterling.

I may cross my fingers that Gabe's takes it over. We need one in the area. IYKYK 🙂

Friday Thrift Fit! Someday, I'll get the hang of taking better selfies🤣. Today, we have casual Friday at its best!

➡️ Jacket & jeans are thrifted. The jacket was maybe $2 and has become one of my favorites!

➡️ Tank & shoes aren't thrifted, but the tank was part of a 4 pk at Costco for $8, and the shoes were purchased a few years ago at Walmart. It will be a sad day when they wear out ☹️

➡️ The spring selection was 🔥. So many cute shoes, shorts, tanks, and dresses. My daughter and I walked out with a bagful of items for just $20.

Friday Thrift Fit! Ok, full disclosure ( you know I always have a story behind almost anything I thrift 😅):

➡️ The night before my dad's viewing, my daughter and I hit up the Goodwill right by his house to look for a dress for her to wear the next day. Although I'd brought some dresses with me, I found this gem half price ($3!!!!) and scooped it up.

➡️ It fit perfectly and is so dang cute. And now I absolutely love that I think of him every time I wear it.

➡️ Paired with thrifted clutch from my collection & all thrifted jewelry. Only the shoes were not thrifted, but they were only $2 after rewards/ coupons at DSW 😄

And I still have no clue how to pose for selfies 🤣🤣

New store alert!! My friends, this store has only been open a year, and many have told me they never knew about it, so I'm going to still call it new 🙂. Come with me to Hope's Treasures in Chantilly!!

➡️ A perfect size store for new and experienced thrifters! Very well organized with a good layout. Easy to get around.

➡️ I was amazed at the amount of clothing that was new with tags!! Spotted Columbia jackets for $10. Lots of high end brands and great teen items also!

➡️ Fabulous furniture and vintage items. Someone snatched up that vintage record player!!

100% worth the drive from Loudoun. They are also in need of donations, primarily housewares and home decor ( if you happen to be spring cleaning). Proceeds support Good Shepherd of Northern Virginia

My friends, I have to share the amazing Sunday I had at the newest Hope's Treasures thrift store in Chantilly. I was honored to co-host a VIP shopping event with them and be part of this special day!

Highlights:
➡️ Elizabeth Vermette, CEO of Good Shepherd of Northern Virginia , is an amazing person. She and her team work hard to help our community & those in need

➡️ Special visits from friends and followers, including Tina Cross & Nancy Tessman from the The Social Collectives

➡️ Designer/high-end bags were available for purchase. Many were generous donations from the January Handbags For Hope event. Lots of other New With Tags items!

There was such a buzz when the doors opened at noon! Everyone walked away with something fabulous, and I got a new outfit, too!

Personal post ahead❤️
It's taken me a few days to post this, but I wanted it in my feed, so I'd always remember. Thursday morning, my father passed away after a 2.5 year battle with leukemia. He fought it till the very end, and my sister and I were grateful to be right by his side.

He and my mom were high school sweethearts. After high school, she went to college, and he was drafted by the Army to serve in the Vietnam War. He bravely served, receiving a Purple Heart and a Bronze Star. We are forever proud of him.

He was the best dad we could've ever asked for. He was there for our dance recitals, coached our softball games, and made the drive to visit us often once we moved away.

He missed our mom tremendously after she passed in 2021. We are comforted knowing they are together again ❤️

My friends, I'll admit, today's review brings me both joy and sadness. Joy, because there were amazing finds from my weekend visit to ReStore in Leesburg . Sadness because they are closing at the end of February.
They are a beloved store to many of us with a mission we all love to support. ❤️

I will tell you, the finds are still 🔥!! And the entire store is 50% off. My favorites?? the furniture, art, desks, & chairs.

So many finds, a trend that's super hot right now. Loved the florals, the white desk, & the roll top desk. And don't forget to check out the housewares, glass, items, lamps, books, small art. You will find something!🙂

1st thrift review of 2024! And let me tell you, the finds are 🔥!

My favorites?

➡️ The small furniture and art selections are amazing. Perfect decor pieces to spruce up your spaces but on a budget! The tan desk chair for $30? And the mirror set? That's all a huge yes for me!!

➡️ Tons of art, especially large pieces. Easy decor!

➡️ The housewares section is huge! Lots of great glass sets, dinnerware, giftable items. Look high & low so you don't miss anything. Also, don't miss the front of the store for key items

➡️You will also find rows of clothing at amazing prices. Most items under $10. Some items (like coats and new items) may be priced a bit higher but are still extremely affordable.

💥 I left with an Altar'd State lace dress for $6!!!!!!

I'm a pencil & paper person, even in this digital age. I love creating lists and checking things off when they are done.

This list was created over 2 years ago, and you can see my updates done in pencil. I've visited every store on this list except Berryville & Middleburg. I'll plan for those this year.

It's time to update the list and create my 2024 schedule🙂

Hello my friends! And Happy New Year to you also! I'm not sure about you, but I didn't meet all ( or most) of my goals for 2023. I'd like to more this year, but I'm not really into hustle mode, so we'll see what gets done 🙂

Are you a before Christmas shopper or day after shopper, like me? The day after Christmas is like Black Friday to me. I'm up at 6am to get to the first store by 7am. Then 4-5 more stores!

This was a tradition I had with my mom. We'd be gone for hours, and she'd buy tons of stuff, all the while saying my dad was going to be so mad🤣. Sometimes, she had to leave things at my house since they didn't have room in their car😀

I'm not very crafty or creative, so when I did these lanterns the other day, I felt like I had to show the world🤣

The lanterns were rusty when I bought them a few years ago at . Some elbow grease and spray paint took care of that!

The ornaments are all thrifted from or gifted free from my local group.

Shop the sales!!! Yes, it is possible to put a whole outfit together for less than $20, even less than $10 sometimes. The secret is to always check for thrift store sales🛍🛍 Many do a color of the week sale. If you see a certain color tag or clothing barb, you get a discount.
