You might have noticed that Bennett and I have officially restarted our creative studio and with that our books are back open to booking brand photography, video, web design, and all other growth marketing services to help grow small businesses! ⚡️

Which means I’ll be posting all my brand photos and videos from now on over there and dedicating my Lora Wagener Co. account to all my other photography work I also love doing: portraits, weddings, couples, maternity, families, etc.

This makes me really excited because I feel like for so long I didn’t want to post things and make people confused but now having 2 specific businesses pages with dedicated places to post each work makes my little brain happy!!! So here’s to having no excuse to not be posting more recent work! 😎

A little recap of this year’s amazing Fall Minis, which truly would not have been possible without and her magical touch for all the details & florals!! She’s pure talent & it really elevated everything in such a new way!! 😍

I am in my feels looking at these because each 20 minute session was so different and so fun and I loved every minute of it! I left that evening with such a full heart knowing I captured 6 different family and couple’s treasured moments for all different types reasons and chapters in their lives. Like how freaking cool is that and how special is my job!! Ughh I love it and it makes my heart so happy 🥹 Thank you so much to everyone who came, it was definitely one for the books!!

Happy Halloween friends - I have secretly aways wanted to do a photoshoot like this so when & .hedley.6 asked me, I was beyond excited and it did not disappoint!! The feeling when you loveeeeee the photos so much you have to post them right away right 🤩

If you are also a photographer going through it rn, I see you and you are not alone! Remember good art takes time, you are not a machine, & the quickness of your work does not define your success. I know we live in this fast culture & I get that everyone wants their photos & videos delivered NOW but also at what expense?! We cannot edit our best when we don’t FEEL our best and honestly we also have a life outside of editing & being behind a computer screen for hours on end. We are all truly doing the best we can while also trying to balance our own needs, relationships, & life. So please remember to take time to focus on your own mental health, take breaks from long editing days & get outside to breathe in fresh air, and also communicate to your clients that you are in busy season & that you appreciate their patience. We got this friends!! 🫶🏻

The absolute cutest branding photos for this amazing gem who is both a life coach & a yoga teacher in Luxembourg !! I had a blast frolic through the fields with her, taking photos in her beautiful space, & having deep conversations long after the sun went down. I can’t wait to see all the amazing things you do .moonlight / ! You are such a bright light in this world and I love that it really shines through in these photos ☺️✨

Currently sitting on a plane trying to figure out the best way to update my photography page on all the changes that have happened this last week and a half (if you follow my personal then I’m sure you already know).

In short, my dad recently had 2 strokes within 24 hours and has been in the hospital ever since. His heart is weak & the doctor’s are unsure of his recovery. I decided it was best if I booked a flight back to Luxembourg to be with my dad and family.

I can’t even describe how amazing my clients, friends, & this Instagram community has been to me. Thank you for the support, encouragement, & space. The fact I can take this trip back to my family without any problem or stress means more than you know! Thank you to the clients who allowed me to reschedule shoots without problem, the photographer’s who offered to help take the shoots I wouldn’t be able to reschedule, and for those who just supported me & asked me how they could help me.

Now I’ll be focusing on my family for the next 21 days & taking it day by day. Of course, I will still be editing & working on all the current projects I have running but taking it at a little slower pace than usual (and truly appreciate you allowing me to even do that). So that’s the update - just feeling grateful I was able to spend time with some of my most favorite humans this last weekend, soak in the warm Sierra sun, & get my mindset ready for what’s to come. 🫶🏻

I can truly say that after 10 days in Kauai I feel fully rejuvenated & refreshed in a way I’ve never felt before. Not sure if it was the vitamin sea, the warm sun on my ghostly winter skin, the slow island living, the 24/7 reggae music, the limited screen time, or the yummy lava flows but holy cow I am feeling alive! So dang grateful for this trip & the way I am feeling being back. ☺️🏝️

If you are an entrepreneur, like me, I urge you to take an intentional vacation - not one that has some work still involved, no a real vacation where you only are taking photos that inspire you or not even bringing your camera to fully be present, a vacation where you only are using your phone to get directions to your next beach or adventure. And one where you are so intentional about soaking in every minute of stillness. If you do, I PROMISE you, you will feel like a whole new person!! 🤩🤩

LIL LIFE UPDATE:

I will be closing my books, laying fairly low, & not taking on any photo shoots starting Dec 20th through February 28th while I go through my ACL/meniscus surgery & recovery. I am planning on getting back to photoshoots around March & am booking projects from then on !! ☺️ I know it’s going to be a tough & mentally draining few months but I am ready & ready to get my knee back to normal.

With all that being said, I want to give a big shout out & thank you to my current clients & friends for giving me so much grace & love the past 3 months! It hasn’t been easy having to go through this ACL tear during my craziest & busiest months but everyone has truly been the best & helped me so much! 🥹 Alsooooo, thank you to all my new & reoccurring clients for filling my Summer/Fall 2023 months & even booking me into 2024. 😭 (That means if you’ve been waiting to reach out to me - do it nowww before it’s too late and don’t tell me I didn’t warn you!)

I am so sooooo excited for next year, for all of the amazing upcoming brands, weddings, engagements, & projects I already have on my 2023 calendar!! It seems funny but it’s truly the motivation I need to make it through the next few months. Now let’s get this ACL & meniscus fixed & back to my full functioning self!! 🤘🏼
