A little recap of this year’s amazing Fall Minis, which truly would not have been possible without and her magical touch for all the details & florals!! She’s pure talent & it really elevated everything in such a new way!! 😍
I am in my feels looking at these because each 20 minute session was so different and so fun and I loved every minute of it! I left that evening with such a full heart knowing I captured 6 different family and couple’s treasured moments for all different types reasons and chapters in their lives. Like how freaking cool is that and how special is my job!! Ughh I love it and it makes my heart so happy 🥹 Thank you so much to everyone who came, it was definitely one for the books!!

Happy Halloween friends - I have secretly aways wanted to do a photoshoot like this so when & .hedley.6 asked me, I was beyond excited and it did not disappoint!! If you are also a photographer going through it rn, I see you and you are not alone! Remember good art takes time, you are not a machine, & the quickness of your work does not define your success. I know we live in this fast culture & I get that everyone wants their photos & videos delivered NOW but also at what expense?! We cannot edit our best when we don’t FEEL our best and honestly we also have a life outside of editing & being behind a computer screen for hours on end. We are all truly doing the best we can while also trying to balance our own needs, relationships, & life. So please remember to take time to focus on your own mental health, take breaks from long editing days & get outside to breathe in fresh air, and also communicate to your clients that you are in busy season & that you appreciate their patience. We got this friends!! 🫶🏻

The absolute cutest branding photos for this amazing gem who is both a life coach & a yoga teacher in Luxembourg !! I had a blast frolic through the fields with her, taking photos in her beautiful space, & having deep conversations long after the sun went down. Currently sitting on a plane trying to figure out the best way to update my photography page on all the changes that have happened this last week and a half (if you follow my personal then I’m sure you already know).
In short, my dad recently had 2 strokes within 24 hours and has been in the hospital ever since. His heart is weak & the doctor’s are unsure of his recovery. I decided it was best if I booked a flight back to Luxembourg to be with my dad and family.
I can’t even describe how amazing my clients, friends, & this Instagram community has been to me. Thank you for the support, encouragement, & space. The fact I can take this trip back to my family without any problem or stress means more than you know! Thank you to the clients who allowed me to reschedule shoots without problem, the photographer’s who offered to help take the shoots I wouldn’t be able to reschedule, and for those who just supported me & asked me how they could help me.
Now I’ll be focusing on my family for the next 21 days & taking it day by day. Of course, I will still be editing & working on all the current projects I have running but taking it at a little slower pace than usual (and truly appreciate you allowing me to even do that). So that’s the update - just feeling grateful I was able to spend time with some of my most favorite humans this last weekend, soak in the warm Sierra sun, & get my mindset ready for what’s to come. 🫶🏻
Happy Mother’s Day to all the mamas out there! 💐🌸 I don’t know where I’d be without mine & as I get older I truly have a new appreciation for mothers & all you do. You are superheroes 💕
I can truly say that after 10 days in Kauai I feel fully rejuvenated & refreshed in a way I’ve never felt before. Not sure if it was the vitamin sea, the warm sun on my ghostly winter skin, the slow island living, the 24/7 reggae music, the limited screen time, or the yummy lava flows but holy cow I am feeling alive! So dang grateful for this trip & the way I am feeling being back. ☺️🏝️
If you are an entrepreneur, like me, I urge you to take an intentional vacation - not one that has some work still involved, no a real vacation where you only are taking photos that inspire you or not even bringing your camera to fully be present, a vacation where you only are using your phone to get directions to your next beach or adventure. And one where you are so intentional about soaking in every minute of stillness. If you do, I PROMISE you, you will feel like a whole new person!! 🤩🤩
Highly recommend looking back at your work over the years because I bet you will feel re-inspired, proud, humbled, & gratitude all at once.

LIL LIFE UPDATE:
I will be closing my books, laying fairly low, & not taking on any photo shoots starting Dec 20th through February 28th while I go through my ACL/meniscus surgery & recovery. I am planning on getting back to photoshoots around March & am booking projects from then on !! ☺️ I know it’s going to be a tough & mentally draining few months but I am ready & ready to get my knee back to normal.
With all that being said, I want to give a big shout out & thank you to my current clients & friends for giving me so much grace & love the past 3 months! It hasn’t been easy having to go through this ACL tear during my craziest & busiest months but everyone has truly been the best & helped me so much! 🥹 Alsooooo, thank you to all my new & reoccurring clients for filling my Summer/Fall 2023 months & even booking me into 2024. 😭 (That means if you’ve been waiting to reach out to me - do it nowww before it’s too late and don’t tell me I didn’t warn you!)
I am so sooooo excited for next year, for all of the amazing upcoming brands, weddings, engagements, & projects I already have on my 2023 calendar!! It seems funny but it’s truly the motivation I need to make it through the next few months. Now let’s get this ACL & meniscus fixed & back to my full functioning self!! 🤘🏼
Hiiii I’m Lora and you should know that I am not really the best at posting constantly on social media. So here are some fun-ish random facts about me & life lately:
• I’m (still) obsessed with my two dogs Coco & Carly… oh and Bennett! 🥰
• I love summer but I am super excited for Fall & I can’t wait for all the fun Fall things coming up!
• With that being said, I totally am a pumpkin everything type of girl. Pumpkin pie is actually my favorite 🤷🏼♀️
• I’ve been running my photography & video business for the past 7 years 🤯 That feels absolutely WILD to me still.
• I love helping small businesses, female-owned, &/or sustainable brands create an online presence that represents their brand while also turning their target audience into paying customers. I’ve been focusing more and more on this & only taking on 5 weddings a year.
• I recently tore my ACL & meniscus (and sprained my MCL & apparently also LCL 😂) so life’s been a little different lately but I am taking things slow & prioritizing myself more than ever. I will be getting surgery in the winter so book me now before my surgery lol
• I’ve been focusing more on my mental health, every day habits & continuing trying to drill hustle culture out of my brain. With that being said, I’ve (finally) established office hours for when I respond to emails, texts, & DMs since I get very overwhelmed easily with these. They will be listed on my website, google, & at the bottom of my emails. 💌
• Bennett and I just got back from NYC & Detroit & it reminded me just how much I love traveling & exploring new & familiar places 🌍
• I love IG & all the amazing people that I’ve met through it, especially my rad clients & friends I’ve made. But I’ve come to realize it can also feel like a full-time job & take a toll on me, so I try to balance it as best as I can & only post when it feels right & not just for the sake of posting 🙃
That’s really all for now, I just love my little life I’ve built (offline), focusing on what feels right & good, & being super intentional about where & with whom I spend my time. Thank you so much for still being here & following me even if I don’t post consistently! ❤️

This was one of those shoots that literally IGNITED MY FIRE & PASSION!!!! 🔥 It was everything I loveeeeee about photography: a thrill of an adventure (emphasis on THRILL - we almost didn’t make it back to our car), lots of belly laughs & good conversations, & being reminded just how absolutely incredible life is & being able to capture it! I swear when all of those align - that’s when my best work happens! Creativity just flows & both of us are in our own element 🤩 Thank you for trusting me with your MBA grad photos (so proud of you!!!), I am full on obsessed with these photos & love the memories and adventure we had during this shoot! 🤍
Something I love about Reno is our community! I happened to meet at a Sunday market & we were able to collaborate on a photoshoot the following week for Earthling Co’s new products I was already taking photos for (I will be sure to have another post soon showing those photos because they are some of my new favs!) But truly, I love our Reno community, our collaborative nature, & all the amazing talented humans we have here! 🤩

Today Bennett & I did something BIG & SCARY! We launched , an idea we have been brewing up for the past year (check my stories to read &
learn the backstory).
I just have to say, holy heck I am so fu***ng proud of us! Bennett quit his 9-5 agency job in Jan 2021, we started working together in Feb, began brewing & dreaming of bigger ideas in May, then finally in Jan 2022 sat down and planned out how we were going to do the damn thing. Side note: implementation is sometimes my biggest hurdle.
Now, here we are in Feb 22, 2022 (can we pretend we posted this yesterday so we can have the cool date?) making it really come to life (aka posting it to social media under its own handle cause that’s all it takes 😏).

If you know me by now you probably have caught wind that I am obsessed with my dog, Coco. I adopted her May 2020 & it was actually a process to even find a dog to foster or adopt at that time. So I feel extra lucky that Coco and I’s paths crossed & we found one another. She is the sweetest little bean, about 9 years old, & has taught me so much about myself & about patience. She helped me overcome all the chaos of 2020 & has been my bestfriend ever since. I love her with my whole heart & am truly obsessed with her! I guess I am one of those crazy now but I am 10000% okay with it! I love you Coco Bean - thank you for choosing me as your person 🥰

I’ve taken so many photos at the races over the years sometimes it’s hard to get my creative juices flowing & actually come up with something different, that’s why I love editing so much! Even if I don’t necessarily feel creative at the time of the shoot, I can always add or change things up when editing. I’m seriously diggin using my DSLR camera but editing it to look like film… what do ya think? 🤩
