Now lately Telugu actress Eesha Rebba while talking to the media the other day have raised the issue and have admitted that she too has faced the problem many a time but have known to say “NO” whenever she had to be in such a situation. This turn of events is surprising because as early as 1936, Himanshu Rai and Devika Rani’s Bombay Talkies had produced Achhut Kanya, the love story of a Brahman boy and an untouchable girl, with Rani in the lead. Subsequently, such outings were rare and Bimal Roy’s Sujata (1959) based on a similar premise is a rare caste tale of its time. “What India’s nationalist movement brought to the forefront was that Indians should be seen as Indians. It wasn’t even recognizing that there were backward castes though, internally, the caste system was playing out in society," says filmmaker Shyam Benegal. “Indian cinema came up during this time, so it also reflected the popular feeling. If you look at early Indian films, it is very rare that caste was even a subject in the film. Our films never told you where the hero came from, what kind of a household he grew up in, or which caste he belonged to—none of these things are ever seen," he adds.

And Sukumar has joined hands with Stylish Star Allu Arjun for the same project, which will be bankrolled by Mythri Movies Makers. Now according to the latest buzz in the film industry, Caste played very important role in this issue. Few are saying that Superstar Mahesh Babu teamed up with Anil Ravipudi who belongs to the same caste, and Allu Arjun and Sukumar who belong to same caste, joined their hands.
When Mahesh Babu made official announcement that he has walked away from Sukumar Project and Sukumar collaborated with Allu Arjun, few people started to say that Telugu Film Industry got divided on caste basis.

Telugu film industry is dominated by a few families but unfortunately all of them belong to 2–3 castes. But It is known news that Adivi Sesh, Vijay Devarakonda, Prabhas, Priyadarshi are known by their films and gained fame because of their hard work not by their caste. The people have to encourage the artists according to their talent, not based on their castes and religions.
Telugu heroes are preferring all the directors who hail from different castes. They are finalizing the movie, based on the their characters and story line not on caste basis.
