World Human Rights Council awards Best Journalist Award to syed abdul Kabir Geelani ANN NEWS Special Correspondent

Syed Abdul Kabir Gilani, Special Correspondent of Asian News Network, received the Best Journalist Award on Wednesday.

According to reports, Syed KABIR Gilani, Special Correspondent of Asian News Network (ANN) was awarded Best Journalist Award on the occasion of 2021 National Worker's Award Conference of World Human Rights Council in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh.

Special Correspondent of ANN News was declared Best Journalist. On behalf of the International Human Rights Council for their hard work and dedication and for carrying out their duties.

The award was presented by Dr. Haji IAS Zama National Chairman Committee, Advisor Board and National Convener and Chief Adviser and Dr. MR Ansari National President. AND State President Zubair Alam. On this occasion, many journalists and people associated with other associations congralated Syed Abdul Kabir Gilani

Meanwhile, several personalities all over india kashmir and abroad also congratulated Mr Geelani for winning the award.

Journalist Fraternity Kupwara meets Deputy Commissioner

KUPWARA, FEBRUARY 12: Deputy Commissioner Kupwara, Imam Din convened an interactive meeting with Journalist Fraternity Kupwara (JFK), here today.
Tehsildar Kupwara, Javid Ahmad Zargar; President JFK, Yahya Sultan; Vice President, Mudasir Rashid; General Secretary, Syed Kabir Geelani, besides, senior journalists including Rahee Mushtaq, Sahil Shameem, Shameem Bhat,Peerzada Shakir,Jahangir Lolabi,Azhar Shaheen, and other concerned were present in the meeting.
The President JFK briefed the Deputy Commissioner about the issues of media persons in Kupwara, besides, the difficulties they face while covering the events on ground. He put forth demand for establishment of press club at Kupwara.
Other journalists also spoke and apprised the Chair about their issues.
The Deputy Commissioner gave a patient hearing and assured them about resolving their genuine demands including establishment of Press Club.
The Deputy Commissioner said that media is a significant pillar of democracy for delivery of transparent and accountable governance to the people. He added that district administration is always available for coordination with the people who are engaged directly or indirectly in promoting development and wellbeing of the society

Youth leader and state executive member BJP *Aamir Sofi* visited several areas of District Kupwara and also met several delegations which includes BDC chairmains, Sarpanches, ward members and other local bodies. During his visit delegations discussed issues related to their areas with Mr. Sofi. Aamir Sofi assured them that entire UT administration and GOI under the leadership of shri Narender Modi is always at front foot for the people of JK UT . He also assured them that there issues will be discussed with the district administration and get resolved very soon. Aamir Sofi also thanked District administration for quickly respond in recent weather conditions in which civil administration , police administration, amd other departments worked 24/7 for the relief of people of district kupwara. He also visited kupwara market where the shops got burnt and requested district administration to help the victims so that their livelyhood get restored.

Independent candidate DDC elections Sukhnaag Ms Haseena Akhter on Wednesday said the youth of Jammu and Kashmir have unfortunately been always swayed by misleading slogans of political parties, which is why they still feel annoyed and exasperated with the present system.

*Addressing a campaign in villages of *(kralnewa, Rawalpora, khospora, and Rakhye) Sukhnaag constitueny* Ms Haseena Akhter observed that J&K’s youth are full of potential but they need to channelize their energy in a positive manner.

“Our youth seem genuinely indifferent and disenchanted with our present system, which has many loopholes. But isn’t ? it a fact that political parties across the political spectrum in J&K are also responsible for the begrudging behavior of our youth?” she added.

Haseena Akhter said that the fascinating slogans raised by the decades political parties have pushed the youth to go to jails or to graveyards.

The DDC candidate sukhnag remarked the youth of J&K espacially Sukhnaag Budgam feel their aspirations are not secured and also the loop-holes in the system that have added to the unemployment ratio have instilled an aggressive and infuriated behavior among them.

*Haseena Akhter* said that the challenging task before her is to prove itself as a reliable political platform among the competing narratives being offered as solutions to the problems of people in Sukhnaag constitueny

Haseena Akhter added that However, our mission never shied away from saying the truth to our people and time has vindicated our stand. Now all political parties who are in the fray are saying the same things which are not satisfactory.

She said the she has adopted truthful politics as its cardinal principle and it will never compromise on this guiding philosophy. “I am thankful to the people who have reposed trust and confidence on me and I appeal to the people of sukhnaag to make all political parties accountable for their own welfare,” she added.

*Haseena Akhter said that DDC elections were purely for planning and development.* “I appeal to my people to vote and support your own candidate Haseena Akhter in DDC elections as I will be always available and accountable before you,” she stated that the DDC elections have also assumed significance because these Councils will be responsible for ensuring that people have access to electricity and sanitation and similar development outcomes, as other regions in the country.

Haseena Akhter appealed to the people of Sukhnaag to come forward and support your candidates haseena Akhter on the basis of their developmental agenda. “I am sure that you will judge me by my accessibility and social work in my restive area. I will always commit whatever it can deliver on the ground that is why people should support me as DDC candidate whole heartedly,” she added.
