Shortly after, the post went viral on X (formerly Twitter) and Instagram after a user, Miss Ezeani (), called on the attention of the public to help locate and prosecute Musa Suleiman.⁠

As individuals began mass reporting Musa Suleiman's account, he made a post asking Nigerians not to take down the page as it was his source of income. He was finally arrested by the Nigerian Police on May 13.⁠
