Deporter Records Deporter Records is a record label based in Portland, Maine concentrating on eclectic underground mus

Doug and Ed Porter are brothers that have been performing, recording, and releasing music since the mid-1990s. In 2013, they started Deporter Records to give all of their previous and new projects a home. Having been involved in the underground confines of the most eclectic and extreme pockets of the Maine music scene, they have dabbled in various categories and genres (rock n roll, heavy metal, p

unk rock, experimental, lo-fi, avant-garde, progressive, acoustic, and post rock) and want the company to be seen as an artist friendly label run with a lot of integrity, but little promotional or production costs. It should simply be a place for the bands they like to put out music they want, without restriction.

The new Johnny Cremains lyric video for "Malagamaniac" is now on YouTube. A little about the song....

Malaga Island is an island at the mouth of the New Meadows River in Casco Bay, Maine. It was the site of an in*******al community until 1912, when the residents were forcibly evicted by the government. It is now an uninhabited reserve.

The song features special performances by vocalist Renee Coolbrith, Sarah Mueller on the violin, and Devon Coletta on cello.

The "Buried Alive" EP (the first in their "Tragic At Best" series) will be available April 1st. Pre-orders available on bandcamp.
