TINUBU'S LOYALIST CRY OUT OVER ATTEMPT BY GOVERNOR ABDULAZIZ YARI TO IMPOSE NATIONAL ASSEMBLY LEADERS

Some legislative aides at the National Assembly have tackled former Zamfara State governor, Abdulaziz Yari, and other APC governors for allegedly interfering in the leadership selection process of the 10th National Assembly.

They accused the governors of trying to impose their loyalists on the lawmakers and undermine President Tinubu’s authority.

Meanwhile, about 150 members-elect of the House of Representatives have stormed the APC national secretariat to declare their support for Hon. Abbas Ibrahim, another aspirant for the speakership position.

Governor Mohammed Umar Bago of Niger State has sacked all political appointees that served under the previous administration, ordering them to vacate their offices immediately. Meanwhile, the Plateau State House of Assembly has suspended all the 17 local government chairmen in the state for alleged financial mismanagement and abuse of office.

Some leaders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Lagos State have denied having any knowledge of the speakership aspiration of Hon. Abiodun Tobun, a member representing Epe Constituency 1 in the state House of Assembly.

They said they were not aware of any endorsement or support for Tobun by the party or any of its chieftains.
