With so much happening in the world, it's okay to give yourself permission to disengage, to find happiness and space from triggering events. We so often feel the weight of the world, whether by our design or by circumstance and just know it's okay to take a break from doing, reacting and processing. It's okay to take the time to just "be" for a sec, we are infact human beings not human doings ♥️. That's my talk for Mental Health Awareness Month. Guys, can we wait for professional to diagnose us with a personality disorder before going public with it? Maybe you're not OCD, maybe you're just really clean. That shift in personality might not be Bipolar Disorder, it might be that you're moody for a time period. Let's move away from clinical diagnosis until we see a licensed professional because it may undermine those whose lives are really challenged by these conditions. This is today's talk for Mental Health Awareness Month.
Guys, we have to stop beating ourselves up for things we didn't accomplish in the day, week, month that we hoped for. We have to give ourselves leniency and grace when we don't hit every goal or to-do list item. That's being mentally healthy. Yes, be accountable and try hard but don't be negatively impacted the results. Otherwise we function in anxiety, paralysis and procrastination. Enjoy the small and medium sized wins as much as the big ones. Your body will thank you and you'll have the energy and focus to try another day. Decluttering your physical space can support clearing your mind and emotions of clutter. Removing unnecessary physicals items can lead to less distractions and allow you to focus on whatever is needed in that moment. Take some time to clean, prioritize and see what that can do for your mental health. Blank slates are always easier to manage than unfinished projects.
