It has come to our notice that a fake account pretending to be us (using the name Bhutan of Bank) has been promising people money. Kindly note that the account is 𝙛𝙖𝙠𝙚 and this is the genuine verified page of the Bank of Bhutan.

We are working towards getting this fake account taken down and would appreciate your support in reporting the account.

𝐅𝐚𝐤𝐞 𝐍𝐞𝐰𝐬 𝐀𝐥𝐞𝐫𝐭: A picture of Shakira with her two sons has gone viral in the social media in Bhutan with the claim that they are in Bhutan.

The picture was taken on 28 August 2021 at the wave garden surf park and not in Bhutan.

Did you see this message on WhatsApp? It was a spam message that would force your device to automatically forward the same message to others in your contact list without your knowledge.

The good news is that other than that, it doesn’t seem like it caused any harm to your device. Check out what you can do if you suspect that a link you clicked is bad.

You might also wonder why someone would create spam like this. It’s most likely to drive traffic to the website, which runs ads. More people visiting (even without their knowledge) = more money for them!
