Hoosier Myths and Legends Spooky legends, myths and stories from the Hoosier State. When you think of Indiana, you might think of basketball or Indianapolis 500. Lavern. Rebecca D.

Welcome to the Hoosier Myths and Legends Podcast where we dive into the spookier side of the Hoosier State. Maybe you think of famous celebrities such as John Mellencamp and Michael Jackson. When people picture Indiana they get a mental image of cornfields and barns with a basketball hoop, or they may picture the steel mills of the northern part of the state. As the saying goes, there is more than

corn in Indiana. There are 92 counties that make up the Hoosier state. In this podcast, we discuss the many myths and legends from each of these counties. About The Hosts:

Happy Halloween! We decided to surprise you with a pop-up Halloween episode. We hope you enjoy it!

Since the early 1950’s, tales of a Hatchet Man have made their rounds across the country. The best-known version of the legend didn’t become popular until the late 1960’s and early 1970’s. This version takes place on a college campus, where two unsuspecting girls encounter the hatchet man while alone in their dorm on a holiday break. Sit back, relax, turn the lights down low, and get comfortable as we bring you the tale of the Hatchet Man of Bloomington.
