Eric here! Two years ago, long before I built my workwear company Brunt Workwear. Jeremy and I started Bucket Talk to shine a light on the incredible opportunity in the trades and construction industry.

Coming out of college I was levered up to my eyeballs in debt that I still have today, and hard working blue collar guys like Jeremy and my buddies from home had zero debt, were owning homes, starting families, living the American dream.

Since Bucket Talks inception, we’ve gotten the opportunity to sit down with some top performers from all across the country, learning how they got their start, what helped them ascend, and what a day in the life in their trade is all about. It’s been amazing to see this show grow and evolve and we couldn’t have done it without listeners like you.

When COVID hit, everything went on pause. The weekly in person recordings in the garage with our buddies, to planned travel, all came to a screeching halt.

Today we are back, and this time with a lot more horsepower behind us - we are fully powered by BRUNT 👊 💥

We’ve relaunched our top 11 most downloaded episodes on our new website, and we will highlight a new one each week. And stay tuned for new episodes, and in person recordings, as we start to travel all across the country. We’re looking forward to meeting as many hard working, top performers as possible, and can’t wait to share their stories with you. 🤘

Lucas Jablonski grew up in Denver, Colorado. As a kid, Lucas spent the majority of his summers working for his father, a cabinet maker. By the age of 18, he was expected to one day take over his fathers shop. Lucas, instead, took a different route and left the nest. Working a variety of woodworking jobs over the next few years, he was able to hone in his craftsman skills and learn the ins and the outs of running a business.
In 2017, Lucas launched with Co-Founder and childhood friend, Daniel Noe. Lighthouse specializes in high-end dining tables and is currently fully booked out for the next few months. They have the high-class problem to solve of how to keep up with demand from customers.

We don’t often repost our guests comments, but this one seemed to sum up Andy’s passion, desire, and his humility perfectly...
“I absolutely love the size and shape of this space. It turned out beautiful and is super practical and useful.
When I design outdoor living spaces, a few of the things I think about are:
1. How the space will be used.
2. What will be the natural flow of the area.
3. Is it going to look good (of course)
4. Is it proportional to the home and the rest of the landscape.
5. Am I giving the client what they are looking for.

It’s important to think about all of those angles. There is a lot of time that goes into a good design, it’s not something that we just slam out without spending time listening to the clients needs and wants but also thinking of all the things listed above. I also believe good designing comes with experience. I design differently than what I did 4-5 years ago. I’ve learned and grown so much over that time and that affects how I design and also how we install. I am always looking to better myself in those areas. Our clients are looking to us for our professional opinions and ideas. I want to bring them the high quality experience and install that they expect when they call us. That’s what I want to be known for in this industry. I want every install to be a masterpiece.”

For Roy Scott, refurbishing axes started out as a hobby. Collecting old axes from thrift stores, friends, and watching YouTube tutorials he slowly began to master the art of restoring old axes.
