Not only are we discussing the nostalgic utopia of Meadows of Heaven, we also investigate the live DVD that never was and check out another metal powerhouse that injected some gospel into their sound.

The last episode of this season of the podcast and we will be discussing a song very dear to many Nightwish fans - The Poet and the Pendulum!

We are unpacking every part of the song from White Lands of Empathica with its Stephen King allusions to the emotional finale Mother and Father. There's also some Edgar Allan Poe in that there song title, a splash of Nightwish trademarks (oceans, innocence...) and all wrapped up in one of the most epic journeys Tuomas has ever taken us on.

I also share a few emails with Liv Kristine about the time she was rumoured as Nightwish's new vocalist and her own relationship with the band. We also touch on her own projects Coldbound and the difficult past with Leaves' Eyes.

As we hurtle towards a massive fifty episodes, today we're talking Devil and the Deep Dark Ocean from Oceanborn.

We're discussing aggressive vocals, Tarja's experience recording the album and finding some hidden references in the lyrics.

This is also our second of two episodes focused on the Nightwish Story exhibition. I'll be venturing around the virtual exhibit and sharing my thoughts whilst Diana from our fan jury tells us all about attending in person and believe me, her stories from Kitee are magnificient!

My good friend Kiki spoke with me just before he moved to study in Lisbon. He shared his experience discovering Nightwish through While Your Lips Are Still Red and spoke about metal in his homeland of Vietnam.

And I am stoked to welcome a band I've loved for a very long time onto this week's episode - Nemesea! HJ and Sonny spoke to me about the history of Nemesea, their change of sound and their covering 'Bless The Child' in the early days. We also spoke about Floor's success and the bands new release Wake Up!
