Bongeunsa Temple is a temple with a thousand-year-old history. In 794 BC, during the reign of King Joseong, Bongeunsa was founded by the monk Yeon-hoe. According to historical records, during this period, Korean Buddhism was heavily pressured, so the temple was not focused. It was not until the sponsorship of Queen Joseong that Bongeunsa was restored, preserved and developed to this day.
