Meet The Host, Steve Bunker

Hello - I’m Steve, also known as “Nacho Father”. I’m a son, brother, husband, and father to 5 kids and 3 dogs who had a cardiac event a few years ago that left me with some new hardware installed; an Implantable Cardioverter Defibrillator or ICD. Suffice it to say, life has been a little bit different since then. I launched the “Living With An ICD and Other Things” podcast to discuss how I have come to terms with my ICD, Defibrillator, Pace Maker ... whatever you might call it, in the hopes that others out there, maybe you, might find my broadcast and find some inspiration in my story. Or at the very least, realize that you are not alone in your journey. It’s also allowed me a way to share with my family and friends some of the things I’d rather not be discussing over the dinner table in the limited time we have together.

When I’m not recording my episodes (either from my bedroom or my car currently) or spending time with my loved ones, I work as a Car Salesman in Denver, CO. You’ll hear me talk about that from time to time and how that is impacted by my “enhancement”. It is my hope to one day soon “retire” from that industry to focus full time on my family and growing my podcast and YouTube channels (see below).

If you’re living with an ICD like me, or have a loved one who is, I’d love to hear from you! You can send me a voice message 24/7 at https://anchor.fm/steven-bunker5/message. Your questions and comments are important to me, and help me to provide quality content that has the potential to help others.
