What you gotta do is just stop your attacks --🗡️ -> 🛑,
Let go of your defence --- 🛡️ -> 🙅♂️
And just flee away from the battle. 🏃♂️ After all what good is a battle if the soldier dies in a battle?
So better than losing a soldier in a battle, pull them back to plan your defense strategy and attack strongly on next hit without dying.
