JUST IN: Under DepEd Memorandum 069, s.2023, Dampol 2nd National High School participated in DepEd 236,000 trees: A Christmas gift for children on December 6.

Led by SDS Dr. Norma P. Esteban, District Supervisor Dr. William Ortega, Head of D2NHS Dr. Bienvenido L. Guevarra Jr., and Mr. Leo Pascual, alongside representatives from Tibag and Dampol 2nd barangays, teachers, and students from Segundo Esguerra Sr. Memorial Elementary School, the program and tree-planting activity were successfully carried out.

The objective of this initiative is to collectively plant 5 or more trees around each school or a total of 236,000 trees nationwide, serving as a gift for the youth and ensuring a clean and healthy environment.

In a bid to cultivate journalistic skills and empower aspiring writers, Dampol 2nd National High School's publication, in both English and Filipino, recently conducted an enlightening Campus Journalism Training-Workshop for its enthusiastic student body on November 29.

Ms. Jemimah Faith Fajardo, Mr. Jose Ivan Domingo, Ms. Marienhell Francisco, and Mr. Raven Juma-oas, writers from The Mentors Journal of Bulacan State University-College of Education, shared their expertise in journalism.

As the curtains fell on this enriching workshop, students left with not just newfound knowledge but also a renewed passion for storytelling and a commitment to ethical reporting.

The success of the event marks a promising stride towards nurturing a generation of articulate and responsible journalists within the campus community.

Students from different grade levels joined the 2023 School Press Conference on November 8, pursuant to Republic Act No. 7079, also known as the Campus Journalism Act of 1991.

Dampol 2nd National High School - The Farmer hosted the event, which will serve as the basis for selecting campus journalists to represent the 2023 Eddis Level Press Conference.

The awarding of winners will take place on November 10.

In line with school memorandum No. 105 series 2023, the appointment and swearing-in of duties of the SPTA, HPTA, Learner-Led organization, and Club officers, as well as teachers with other roles, were held at Dampol 2nd National High School on September 28.

The said induction was facilitated under the supervision of the School Principal III of D2NHS, Dr. Bienvenido L. Guevarra Jr., together with the Head Teachers and Adviser of Supreme Secondary Learners Government, Mrs. Ma. Imee Torres.
