expressed it best! HAPPY MOTHERS DAY to EVERY WOMAN who has supported and nurtured a child whether as a biological parent or not. Your efforts and sacrifices are very much appreciated. I know it gets rough being handling everything that encompasses being a mom but remember no one is perfect and you’re doing a great job 💛

To my bonus moms out there, it takes a special woman to be able to be able to love and care for a child that you did not birth genuinely especially when you are hit with obstacles and negativity at every angle. This is a day that you deserve to be celebrated too. You deserve to have your contributions, strength, and dedication to your marriage and your family acknowledged 💓

My child runs to me.

He runs to me when he's hurt.

He runs to me when he's proud. Or upset. Frustrated. Even elated...

He runs to me for it all.

When the world feels wrong and he needs guidance, he turns to me.

When the days rock him to his core and he feels like his world is spiraling, he looks for his mama.

I am his rock. His foundation.

I lift him up. My embrace makes things better.

For the first time in my life, my existence feels vital. My kids need their mama, more than I ever realized anyone would need me. More than the word "need" ever used to imply.

In a full world that is so busy, so distracting, and so exhausting, my child runs to me.

And every day I remember what a blessing it is to be a mama. To be his mama. Because of all the people he could run to, he chooses me.

On my premier episode, I shared that my brother was murdered in September. Following his death, I found myself having regrets in that relationship. Then there was one thing after another. I began feeling smothered by family. Everyone wants you to be the glue and the strong one, but who's there for you?

Then my friendship circles changed. I started looking at my friends sideways when they didn't check on me following my brother's death. Chile it's too much to type. Lol.

So if you didn’t know, my husband is a basketball coach. In the beginning, I didn’t like being a coach’s wife AT ALL. 🫣 I didn’t want to share him. Lol. After being intentional in learning why his position was important to him and seeing all the kids who he has inspired, my feelings changed.
