You do not have to be on all the platforms!

Don't force yourself to do wild TikTok dances and trends if it makes you uncomfortable.

Focus on 1-2 platforms where you can connect with your target audience. Facebook, Instagram, Nextdoor, LinkedIn, TikTok, X, and Threads all have their own unique structures.

Don't lose sleep over being present everywhere. Nail down the ones you like and hone in on them.

Your Facebook business page is different than your Facebook profile. You want to be creating content that lands with potential clients and gets you seen.
Create content that talks about how you solve the problems your clients are struggling with and that will draw them in.

Example from a House Painter:

👎We do interior and exterior painting. Call us for a quote!

👉 Too basic, doesn’t address a homeowner’s actual decision pain point.

👍Choosing a paint color can feel impossible — especially when lighting changes everything! We help our clients test shades on their walls before painting, so you get a color that looks amazing all day long. Want to see how your room could transform? Book a free color consult.

👉 Solves a real frustration (paint regret) and adds value. This show's that the house painter cares about the end result for their customer.

Start creating content like this and see what a difference it can make.

Feeling stuck in your own content? DM me the word "stuck" and I will send over a calendar invite for a free virtual strategy session.

✨ Understanding the Different Types of Facebook Posts for Your Business ✨

If you’re a small business owner trying to stay consistent on Facebook, it can feel overwhelming to know what kind of content to share. It's important to remember— not all posts are created equal! 👇

Here's an explaination of the different types of Facebook Posts and how to utilize them:

💬 Text-only posts: Great for sparking conversation or sharing quick thoughts. Use these to ask questions, share short tips, or connect personally with your audience. Keep in mind that Google is now showing social media posts in its search results. Be sure to add value and speak to your audience to get featured on Google.

📸 Photo posts: Perfect for showing behind-the-scenes moments, products, or your work in action. People love seeing who they’re supporting! Show your face!

🎥 Video posts & Reels: These grab attention fast and build trust. Share a quick tutorial, introduce yourself, or show a before-and-after transformation. Reels will get more reach than regular photo or text posts. If you want to grow quickly, post more reels.

🎠 Carousel posts: Ideal for storytelling — take your audience through a process, highlight multiple services, or share testimonials. These need to be created in Ads Manager and require more steps but they offer great engagement opportunities.

📅 Event posts: Hosting a sale, launch, or local event? Create an event post to get people clicking “Interested” and spreading the word! This is a fantastic way to grow your audience.

🗣 Stories: Use these for quick updates, day-to-day moments, and polls to build deeper connections. Stories disappear in 24 hours.

👉 The key is mixing these post types to keep your content fresh, engaging, and aligned with your business goals.

If you’re not sure what type of post your audience will respond to — or how to plan a mix that actually works — I’ve got you covered. 💡

💬 Comment “POST PLAN” below and I’ll send you a few ideas to help you create a week of content for your page that connects and converts.

You don’t need to go viral! You need to connect with your audience.

The truth is- No one can really say if a piece of content will go viral. Sometimes it lands, sometimes it doesn't- and thats okay! Repurpose that content and post it again in a few months...no ones gonna know.

Instead of focusing on "going viral" focus on what your audience wants to hear.

Here is an example that a Life Coach used for their page.

"A client once told me, ‘I feel stuck — like I’m living the same day over and over again.’

We started small — with a five-minute morning routine focused on gratitude and intention. Within two weeks, her energy changed. She was showing up differently — at work, in relationships, and most importantly, for herself.

Change doesn’t happen overnight, but it starts the moment you decide to do one small thing differently.

If you could change one small habit this month to feel more aligned or peaceful — what would it be?"

This is a great example of storytelling. Their client has a clear problem (feeling stuck), and the coach gives them an actionable step (5 minutes of a routine gratitude and intention), and within a few weeks, they are feeling more energized.

A key thing to remember when creating your content- GOOGLE is now showcasing social media content on its search results. This is another great opportunity to be found by potential clients and customers.

Think of how you can create a post like this for your business.

Put your version in the comments below! Start thinking more about how your content can benefit your audience.

Stop worrying about the algorithm — focus on your audience.

Post Less, Engage More

Tired of the pressure to create five "perfect" posts a week? Stop.

The secret to growth isn't more content—it's more connection.

For your business, especially if you're local (like a bakery, gym, or landscaping company), your focus should be on community building:

Content Goal: Start with a consistent 2-3 quality posts a week. That's it.

Engagement Goal: Spend 10-15 minutes daily diving into the comment sections of other local businesses. Like, share, and comment on their content.

Why Engagement is Your New Strategy
Social Media is a two-way street. When you show up for other businesses, they—and their audience—will show up for you. This builds genuine relationships, boosts your visibility to a relevant local audience, and turns simple followers into a thriving community.

Stop being a broadcaster. Start being social.

Influencer Marketing ≠ Small Business Marketing

Let's discuss 👇

If you’re a small business owner, you don’t need to dance on TikTok, post 3 times a day, follow wacky trends, or act like an influencer to grow online.

Influencer marketing and small business marketing are two very different worlds:

- Influencers are the product. Their content is designed to entertain, connect, and build personal influence. They will often use their influence to sell products for other businesses.

- Small businesses sell a product or service. Their goal is to educate, build trust, and show value.

So while influencers chase trends and viral moments...

You, the small business owner? You need consistency, strategy, and content that helps your audience solve a problem or understand why you’re the best choice. Be the person that they know, like, and trust for your service or product.

You don’t need to go viral to be successful!
You need to be reliable and authentic!

Keep showing up. Keep providing value. Your audience doesn’t want a performance — they want connection.

Proof that consistency pays off…

I haven’t been posting daily on LinkedIn—just showing up consistently (about twice a week), engaging with others, and joining conversations. And the results?

✨ New meaningful connections
🎤 An invitation to speak at a networking event
📰 An interview with a journalist covering video content on LinkedIn

All from simply showing up and being part of the conversation. If you’re wondering whether LinkedIn is worth your time—this is your sign to start posting!

This message rings true with any Social Media platform that your business is on. Not just LinkedIn! Write times in on your calendar, set alarms on your phone- do what you need to do to show up for your business! Future you will be glad you did!

Are you using LinkedIn (or any other platforms) consistently? What results have you seen? Let’s chat in the comments! ⬇️
