Just wanted to say Thank You to all of you who watched the last show today and commented. And those who took the time to share the post about the last show, or who sent me such kind messages about the show and how it impacted your life. I'm a little sad it's done, but so grateful and proud that it was here and that it impacted people in a good way. It's a very satisfying end.

Just wanted to let everyone know that tomorrow's Women + Business will be a rerun. I need a sick emoji like Erich Campbell has. I am dealing with either a cold or allergies. Itchy, watery red eyes (very unattractive), a runny nose, a cough and a sore throat. My voice is shredded and I can't say more than a few words without coughing. So I figured a rerun was a better option than trying to do a live show and having to stop to cough every ten seconds or losing my voice entirely. I apologize for not going live, but sometimes you just have to admit that's not going to work.

Today's episode of Women + Business is a reairing of a previously recorded episode. I got very little sleep last night and I look it and feel it. Nothing good will come of me being on camera today. So, in the interest of providing good content, I selected an episode I liked and thought helpful and chose to run that today instead. I apologize to anyone who is offended or disappointed. I will be back next week with new, live content.

There will not be a Women + Business Podcast today. While I feel fine, I've picked up a little cold and cough and it's been murder on my throat and voice. When I speak it starts out fine, but after a couple of words it's all crackles and my voice breaking and then coughing. Not really condusive to doing an hour long podcast. Hopefully, by next week my vocal cords will straighten up and fly right and I'll be with you once again.

Another wonderful documentary on how women in the United States got the right to vote. It was a long and difficult struggle and all women should know how and why it happened. I highly recommend watching this.

The Vote tells the dramatic story of the hard-fought campaign waged by American women for the right to vote, a transformative cultural and political movement that resulted in the largest expansion of voting rights in U.S. history.

This is an amazing documentary about the start of the women's suffrage movement and the fight to get the 19th Amendment passed. Very inspiring and interesting. Highly recommend watching.

Not For Ourselves Alone tells the dramatic story of the compelling friendship of Elizabeth Cady Stanton and Susan B. Anthony. This film provides an unforgettable dual portrait of two Americans who improved the lives of women everywhere.

Another interesting bit of women's suffrage history. Some of the principles of the movement were based on the experiences and treatment of women in this Native American tribe. So many influences we're never told about or hear about. We need the whole story.

in 1848 with the Seneca Falls convention, correct? Wrong. Women of the Haudenosaunee confederacy have had political voice on this land for 1,000 years.
