Anyone claustrophobic?

Slot canyons are truly magic of this world. If you've never explored in one, we highly recommend you move one to the top of your list.

On this particular one we encountered temps up to 90°, a section we called the icebox that seemed to drop more than 30 degrees, thigh high cold water, and mud that would grab hold of your shoes and never let go. Talk about an adventure! Oh and don't get us started on the textures of the canyon walls 👀

It's magical, you just have to see for yourself!

Mornings like this remain undefeated!

Well hello there! It's been a few months since we've posted and as we slowly get back into things we thought we should start sharing again. So, here's a little something just so you can see that we are still getting out there, it's just been a bit busy around here. You know LIFE!

Summers around the corner and we can't wait to get fully immersed again! With that being said, does anyone have any EPIC plans for summer 2023?!

Those Arizona sunsets...

Hands down Arizona is the best place for some epic sunsets! Sitting lakeside with some good views, mother nature blessed us with an incredible sky to end our evening.

The deserts many landscapes!

The colors, the formations, all of it never ceases to amaze us.

The best time to visit the desert in our opinion is during the winter. The only downfall is the short days, but the upside is less crowds! Besides Horseshoe Bend, we had the other 2 spots all to ourselves and didn't see another soul around, unless you count some cows we met on the trail.

If you haven't been already, add Page, Arizona to your travel adventure list!

Some beauty can be found right off the highway!

While some of the most beautiful places in Utah require some sort trek, others only require you to drive and park.

On our drive back to Salt Lake City from southeast Utah we took a detour on I-70 to check out this rest area. The views did not disappoint!

Flashback Friday to our first car camping spot!

Minus the 25 mph winds and the 21° night, the views we woke up to were just beyond amazing! Not a bad spot for our first time car camping!

Things we quickly learned about car camping:
- Window insulation helps a TON!
- Organizing your car properly is key!
- Bring cards or board games to keep busy during the long winter nights

Funny story about this trip. There was a full moon out and Hilary woke up in the middle of the night and thought someone was shining a flashlight inside our car 🤣🙃

Have you car camped? What other tips would you add to this list for those first timers?

Castle Butte in Color or Black & White?

The giant sandstone monoliths in Valley of the Gods are quite the sight to see. This is just one of many you'll find in this area known as the miniature Monument Valley.

Decided to try something new and share a black and white photo. Utah's desert has some of the harshest lighting (if you're not up taking photos at sunrise/set), so instead of keeping those photos hidden I thought I should share those in b/w.

Let us know what you think?!

The views from Bald Mountain give a great preview of the beautiful landscape found in the Uintas.

I couldn't decide which one to share so you get all three!

Sunrise views in Bryce!

The colors just kept getting better and better!

While these shots may be from a few months back, we highly recommend checking Bryce out in the winter. We were there last Christmas and seeing the hoodoos with a fresh coat of snow, makes for an awesome experience. Plus, NO CROWDS!

Where are you heading this winter?

Hide N Peak

The views after a storm are always some of the best. As the clouds move out the peaks begin to peep out.

The views from Trail Ridge Road just kept coming! Unfortunately, if you're headed to Rocky Mountain NP this year the road has been closed for the season, so you'll have to wait for next summer.

The Alpine Tundra

Sitting a top 11,000 feet with freezing temperatures and blustery winds, our elk friend was watching his kingdom.

Meanwhile our faces were feeling all of the tundra's force. We can only imagine what it's like during the rough times of winter. Either way even in the harshest of places you will find beauty!

Note: The Alpine Tundra is a fragile ecosystem that requires everyone's best efforts of traveling on durable surfaces to minimize damages. Do your part!

Fallin' for yoU-tah!

Well we wish we could say these golden aspens are still waiting for you to go find them, but Utah decided it was time for it's first of many winters before the real deal.

So instead, enjoy this photo and feel the warmth!

You're so golden..... 🎶

Just when you think Utah can't get any better fall arrives and turns the places into a sea of gold!

If you're near or in Utah don't miss your opportunity to see the colorful leaves this week before the snow blows in and knocks the leaves off!

WaterFALL 💦🍁

Just when you think waterfalls can't get any better mother nature throws some gold next to it!

The trail to Mills Lake via Glacier Gorge had a bit of everything views, lakes, waterfalls, and fall colors what more could we ask for. This was also the morning we saw our fist cloud inversion, so we were being treated well to say the least!

Sunset view from Forest Canyon Overlook.

What you can't see in this photo is how windy and cold it was at this spot. The tundra does not play around! 🥶

The views from Trail Ridge Road are quite impressive! The drive is definitely worth atleast a half day adventure if you have the time!

Longs Peak from afar.

We would have enjoyed getting a bit closer to the only 14er in Rocky Mountain National Park, but we will leave that for another trip.

Found some fall colors on the trail to Bierstadt Lake and the views definitely didn't disappoint either. 👌🏼

Hello Bear Lake!

The sunrises in Rocky Mountain National Park made waking up at 5 am worth it every time! Our first morning we spent time watching the alpen glow at Bear Lake before we moved along the trail.

This short walk from the parking lot makes it easy to get to for sunrise or sunset, but that also makes it a popular spot.

Fall has started it's masterpiece in the High Uinta Wilderness.

A month after seeing this place in the summer, Fall has moved in and started adding her own palette of colors. 28 miles of beauty was worth seeing this place twice this year. This is another reason we never mind doing the same trails several times. It's never the same, but always incredible!

We posted the summer photo of this area last Monday, which one do you prefer the summer or fall shot?

While this one doesn't have an official name it still was worthy of a quick capture. I'll call it a win for not having the tripod for this long exposure!

It's amazing the places your feet can take you with a little determination!

This is by far one of our favorite places we visited this year! It was so nice I had to hike it twice! (fall photo coming soon)

While it's not a short journey to get here (14 miles RT), the long hike is definitely worth it! The best places always take a little more effort to get too, but in the end that's what makes them so incredible!

Does anyone still enjoy photos around here?

We've taken a few days off from posting as we've been showing off Utah to some friends and have been planning some upcoming trips. We have so much that we have yet to share from our summer and our most recent fall adventures, but just can't seem to muster up the energy for captions or content. So for now here's a photo, if you're still into those! 😂🤷🏽‍♂️

Did you know there are over 1000 natural lakes in Utah's Uintas?

That's quite the difference from what you find in the dry southern desert. Fehr Lake is just 1 of those 1000 lakes, but it's one that you won't have to work too hard for.

📍Fehr Lake

Trail details:
🥾 1 mile RT
📈 180 ft of elevation gain
⏱️ 1 to 2 hours hiking time
🐕 bring along the furry ones!
🚙 1.5 hour drive from SLC
💰 $6 three day pass or FREE with America the Beautiful Pass

‼️Pro Tip: add 2.5 more miles to your hike and check out Shepard and Hoover Lake!‼️

Will you be adding this one to your list?

Welcome to the Uinta Wilderness!

If you're looking to visit this beautiful area before the road closes for winter, nows the time! After a light snow dusting last week, it's only a matter of time until this place is under snow and out of reach!

Utah just keeps surprising us every time we step foot on a new trail.

This one is for all the adventurers!

📍 Devil's Castle

A hell of a name for a peak with such a beautiful view 😈😍

The more we continue to get out, the more we realize how many people have yet to explore their own backyard. So for all you Utah peeps (SLC locals) this one is for you!

While this peak is on the more technical side, this trail is one you won't want to miss even if you decide to not make it all the way to the top.

Trails details:
🥾 3.8 miles RT
📈 1620 ft of elevation gain
⏱️ 2 to 4 hours hiking time
🚫🐕 Watershed Territory so no dogs!
🚙 35 minutes from Salt Lake City
💰 $10 fee or free if you add 2 miles RT (parking at Albion Grill)

Will you be adding this one to your list?
