: You don’t need moisturizer if you have oily skin.
In reality, this is a skincare myth. Sebum (oil) is not intended to moisturize the skin; its primary function is to lock in moisture and protect the skin. Skipping moisturizer can cause your skin to combat dehydration by releasing more sebum from deeper layers. This often results in the appearance of increased oil production.
By providing your skin with adequate moisture, your body won’t need to release excess sebum. So, be sure to moisturize, regardless of your skin type.
