I am just overwhelmed with gratitude. So many stories and more each week are being sent in. The holidays are filled with dark stories, thank you dear listener's. I do read them all, however... I'm a slow reader, I like to think of it as I savour the consumption of a story. I will get to each one though.

It's so weird not working on a story the first Friday after the Finale. I've yet to miss a week for my listeners (knock on wood) and there's a sense of action required in the air. This was an intentional design of the show to allow me not to suffer from burn out, and to keep things manageable and fun. I do take a hit in listeners over the lull which is unfortunate. But they'll be back when the season starts again in May. For now I take a breath and focus on family. Then it's reading and pre-recording as many episodes of the next season as I can so I'm not up late on a Thursday night trying to make magic. I do appreciate my listeners and the brave authors that submit their stories. It's awesome to know that we all love these dark tales so much we have to share with one another. All the best dear listeners.

To all authors that have sent in stories and are considering sending stories. (Keep on sending them.)

For those with stories already sent - I have them all in a folder called 'to be read' I have a full-time dependant with medical needs in my care, that is my priority which means when things go wonky with her you're all on standby.

I wanted to write to just say how important all the stories that come my way are. I haven't forgotten you. Putting Season 4 to bed, is my next priority and Season 5 planning is in full swing.

I will read your story and I will write back.

Hellboy: The Crooked Man is a love letter to Hellboy fans. It's the closest adaption I've seen to the comics. The film is amazing hitting on so many details that are true blue Hellboy characteristics. Everything about this was spot on. In my opinion none of the previous films ever really hit that Hellboy note that the comics had that made me love the comics. Those stories were DARK, and violent and magical. Hellboy isn't a superhero and that's in my opinion where the previous films failed - they treated it all like a super hero film. I pray that we'll see more of this HELLBOY. So awesome.

Do any of the other writers find that sometimes you just can't write it any shorter? I've tried to write short stories, 2000 words or so... and I can't - the flow, creating context, it just continues to come out... I re-read and look for stuff to cut, but it doesn't feel right reading it. Or the conversations don't feel natural... or the pacing feels off, - I'll keep trying. I hate when stories feel rushed... like the writer had the OSCARs orchestra playing them out...

I just finished writing the story for my 100th episode! Excited to share it with everyone. It'll er... be a long one apparently. I think I might be built for writing novels.
