I know I only have a few followers currently but this is to help raise awareness to a newly rising issue. A lua script has been created and added to mods that are being posted on modhub and other websites in mostly mods that were leaked but could spread to others. Its current name is windrower but any one at anytime could change the file name to blend in as a light config or other lua making searches for that specific file useless without completely opening and checking all the lua’s. Please spread the word that mod sites are no longer safe. Many of us older fellas recall when the internet was still fairly new in the 90’s and early 2000’s being told be careful what you download and the viruses that existed. This is basically an undetectable Trojan that virus programs will not detect and you will not know is there untill it’s too late. For a while it is suggested you only download mods straight from the modder be it their Facebook, itch, or wherever they directly post to. Do not use 3rd party mod sites. People can post to mod sites anonymoulsy or under a different name appearing as the modder making these sites untrustworthy and dangerous to the unknowing player who does not understand what is happening. Not only this but those who operate these mod sites are paid extraordinarily well from visits due to the pop ups and adds while contributing nothing to the fs community or modders.
