Love Lies Bleeding is so fu***ng weird. But I think I love it.

Uncle Armond is at it again. He can only ever be a contrarian, but that’s why I love him.

This “Sexy Beast” prequel series on Paramount is absolutely unnecessary. Like, who pitched this? Who asked for this? Who would want this beyond the five people who remember the movie like myself? Not nearly enough swearing I must say. But at least the people making it looked like they had fun. The two guys playing Gal and Don are nearly perfect impersonators for their counterparts, the soundtrack slaps. The production mimics the original’s aesthetics and dreamlike sequences.

What other random movie will be resurrected by the necromancers of Hollywood?

Poor Ridley. Tried rewatching Prometheus recently. It could have been great. It was just so damn dumb.

's TV series will ignore Ridley Scott's prequels and return to the concept of the xenomorph as a natural apex predator rather than an artificial bioweapon. The series will also revert to the cassette futurism design vs. a modern, glossy look. 🎬

This new Exorcist movie pretty much proves how little Gen-X filmmakers actually learned from the movies they claim to love and find formational. Honestly, between this and his halloween movies, it makes me wonder if David Gordon Green ever watched them at all. It’s some of the most uninspired brainrotted filmmaking and storytelling I’ve seen recently. I miss Friedkin so much right now.
