Their hands held pens that bled for varying purposes but all were aimed into achieving one goal, to secure a bullseye finish, and that is to continue upholding the journalistic power bestowed upon them. They snapped fragments of reality and immortalize them through images; they wrote paragraphs citing their arguments for a pressing issue; they wrote prose that were as poetic as leaves falling down during fall; and they became their own versions of victors, emerging victorious from the battlefield. It was not a battle of guns and knives but rather of papers and pens. They went to the field equipped with those weapons, fought the fight, humbled themselves, and were able to seal a triumphant glory. Words read countless of times suddenly became strangers, but their hearts all beamed the light for truth, justice, and change. These are the flashbacks from the recently fought and won battle, and The Filipinian emerged champions in the recently concluded 2023 Division Schools Press Conference.
