I have used a lot of moisturizer for sensitive or acne prone skin and this is hands down the best. I have used it in summers and in winters and have been equally happy with it, it is very light weight and its non sticky but still very hydrating without making your face greasy. UnDry Hydrating Sunscreen caught my attention when I was exploring Amazon for new sunscreen options for sensitive and eczema skin.

the UnDry Hydrating Sunscreen, it comes in a cream and in a stick form. I used a 2-finger amount of sunscreen and applied it evenly on my face and neck. The texture and consistency were comfortable and easy to massage. It is neither thick nor runny and gets absorbed in minutes.
It didn’t leave any white cast, greasiness, heaviness, or any shine after application and it went on like I had applied a regular face moisturizer. For oily skin, on the other hand, this can be used alone.

Fragrance: It has a very mild and soft face moisturizer kind of scent. Not at all irritating and is only noticeable when you sniff it directly.

This product is hydrating but it does give a dewy, sticky finish. The sticky and dewy finish settles down after 30 minutes. Personally I feel this is good since we must use sunscreen at least 20 minutes before heading out in the sun. The product is gel cream in consistency and takes time to blend into the skin. When using the three-finger technique, it feels heavy and leaves a significant sticky feeling for my dry sensitive skin.

So people with oily skin should use two-finger technique while using this sunscreen. The sunscreen gives a little white cast and will not be suitable for people who have a deeper skin tone.

After I started using Plum Niacinamide Sunscreen I have noticed that the pigmentation has reduced considerably and the sunscreen gives a glass skin kind of effect with regular use. Plum

It is a hybrid sunscreen with chemical as well as physical sunscreen agents Ethylhexyl Methoxycinnamate, Butyl Methoxydibenzoylmethane, Benzophenone-3 and Titanium Dioxide.

When it comes to caring for your skin’s barrier, prevention is better than cure. So here are some tips to keep yours healthy and minimise damage:
🔸Always use lukewarm water. Water that is too hot or cold can irritate skin.
🔸Use a mild cleanser. Harsh cleansers can strip away the essential moisturising and nourishing substances that keep your skin barrier healthy.
🔸Do not use abrasive scrubs as they can cause micro-tears to the skin’s surface. Instead, use a gentle, leave-on exfoliant.
🔸Don’t overdo it when using active ingredients like AHA, BHA, retinol, or anti-acne treatments. Applying the highest strength of an ingredient and using multiple treatments can unnecessarily irritate your skin. Find the frequency and concentration that works for you and apply products with potent ingredients at different times of the day. For example, use your exfoliant in the morning and retinol product at night. You’ll still receive the same great benefits.
🔸 Protect your skin from the sun, every day. Sun exposure is one of the major causes of a damaged skin barrier. Use a sunscreen that is rich in antioxidants and has an SPF of 30 or greater.

Have you believed in any of these hairfall myth:

Myth 1
Hair oil reduces hairfall
✔ Fact: Hair oil forms a coating on the hair strands and reduces dryness and frizziness. It may also help in reduced hair breakage of damaged hair.

If you have dandruff, you should avoid applying oil on your scalp.

Hair oil can be used 2 hours before wash. There is no benefit of leaving hair oil on overnight.

Myth 2
Shampoo improves hairfall
Fact: The main function of a shampoo is to clean the scalp. Shampoos have surfactants which dissolve the oil produced by the scalp for effective cleansing.
For dry hair, you can look for moisturising ingredients like avocado, coconut or argan oil.

For hair thinning, using caffeine shampoo may help

Myth 3
Biotin supplements control hairfall.
✔ Fact: The most common deficiencies causing hairfall are iron deficiency, vitamin D, vitamin B, zinc, selenium etc. Supplementation of these micronutrients will be more helpful.

It is best to consult a dermatologist before taking supplements so you know what is required. Supplements have to be taken for atleast 3 months.
