Maayong adlaw natong tanan! Welcome to the Banig Theater!

I know, I know, you’re wondering. Nganong banig theater man? Di pwede nga oriente, kundi eden? Haha.

My siblings and I grew up materially poor. My parents did everything they could to get us by. While we were poor in earthly possessions, intellectually, we were not. My mother was a very smart lady, and she often told us stories of many things - stories of our family, stories of happenings around us, stories of oft unbelievable creatures and more.

Welcome to the Banig Theater!

This is where we talk about the popular myths, urban legends and stories in and around the Cebu Metro!

My name is Nini J, and I'm happy to be sharing this experience with you guys.

If you're like me, you may have grown up in the generation where passed on stories hold a lot of meaning to you, and may still have left you with some subliminal stigma here and there.

As such, I felt that this is an opportunity for me to explore these familiar stories, and bring them to you!
