In this fast-paced world filled with numerous distractions and competing priorities, it's easy to lose sight of our true purpose in life. We often find ourselves searching for meaning and significance, seeking validation and fulfillment from external. But what if the key to a truly meaningful life lies within a simple yet profound concept: living to please God.
You were intentionally designed and brought into existence to bring pleasure to God. From the very moment of your birth, God was there, smiling at the joy of your arrival on Earth. He chose to create you, not out of necessity, but for the sheer delight of having you in His creation.
Often, we humans overlook the fact that God, too, experiences emotions. Being made in His image means that He shares in our emotions and feels deeply. The Bible reveals that God experiences a wide range of emotions, including grief, jealousy, anger, love, joy, delight, and even laughter.
The primary purpose of your life is to live in a way that pleases Him(God). Understanding this truth eradicates any sense of insignificance, as it affirms your inherent worth. If you hold such importance to God that He desires your companionship for eternity, what greater significance could you possibly seek?
The Lord finds delight in those who worship Him and place their trust in His love.
Now that you recognize pleasing God as your life's foremost purpose, your most crucial task is to discover how to achieve that.
We make God happy when we: Love Him above all else, place unwavering trust in Him, wholeheartedly obey His commands, offer continuous praise and gratitude, utilize our abilities to honor Him.
In essence, God seeks individuals who are willing to live their lives for His pleasure. When you make pleasing God your life's ultimate goal, and your heart is consumed by this purpose, there is nothing that God wouldn't do for you.
