Excluding the Large and Small Magellanic Clouds, visible from Earth's Southern Hemisphere, the Andromeda galaxy is the brightest external galaxy you can see.
This huge galaxy (also known as M31 or NGC224) contains a trillion stars and is approaching us at approximately 100-140 km/s. 😍

Stephan's Quintet is a visual grouping of five galaxies of which four form the first compact galaxy group ever discovered. The group, visible in the constellation Pegasus, was discovered by Édouard Stephan in 1877 at the Marseille Observatory. The group is the most studied of all the compact galaxy groups.

The immense Andromeda galaxy, also known as Messier 31 or simply M31, is captured in this image from NASA's Wide-field Infrared Survey Explorer (WISE). WISE used all four of its infrared detectors to capture this picture: 3.4- and 4.6-micron light is blue; 12-micron light is green; and 22-micron light is red. Blue highlights mature stars, while yellow and red show dust heated by newborn, massive stars.
