EVENT UPDATE!!!
And it's a wrap guys.
A big thanks to all the sponsors of our maiden 5-aside football tournament.
A quick rundown of what went down in the semis.
FRSC and Anti Corruption/NEMA went on a scoring spree as they both scored 4 goals each to make it to the finals, hence, Legal aid and Agro Allied settled for third place.
The third place game saw Agro Allied clinch third place while the game you were waiting for.... FRSC defeated the Anti Corruption/NEMA team to emerge champions of the tournament.
And of course, your favorite number 10, Demola won the golden boot.
Special thanks to the LGI for all his support and to the hosts, EPSG.
We look forward to more and more amazing times.

PCA 2021.
NYSC Egor LGA, Edo State Pride of the Corps Award held on Friday 24th September 2021.
Special thanks to the Ag. Chairman, Egor LGA, State Coordinator NYSC Edo State, Mrs O. Abiodun ably represented by AD CI and M, Mrs Stella Igechi, AD CDS, Mrs C.Isede, Head Servicom unit Uniben, Prof Ray Ozolua, Presidents and Members of all CDS groups in Egor LGA and Corps Members in Egor LGA for gracing the occasion.
Special appreciation also goes to the Local Organising committee, President and members of Servicom CDS group for putting up such a memorable event.

EVENT UPDATE!!!
Welcome guys, it's a brand new week and in case you missed out on all the fun during the weekend, we got you.
On Friday, Servicom gave it their best, but failed to secure the three points that would have guaranteed them a spot in the finals.
Elsewhere, Legal Aid ensured they locked Anti Corruption/NEMA behind bars by putting an end to their winning run, with Wilson doing what he knows how to do best. The match eventually secured qualifications for both teams.
Charity played out a goalless draw with SDG to also secure their place in the next round.
The quarter finals draw happened later in the night and we witnessed some mouth watering encounters. 😋😋
In the first game of the quarters, hosts EPSG bowed out to the Agro Allied team courtesy a penalty shout out in a trilling encounter.
Of course, Legal Aid meant business and had no issue sending the free flowing and we'll organized DFQC team behind bars.
1-0 in the shootout, was all they needed.
Anti Corruption/NEMA defeated the Charity team by a lone goal. Yes yes yes, you heard that right, those guys are on fire.
FRSC edged out the MHSG team in a game of tact and emotions. 3-2 it ended in their favor in shootouts.
Phew. 😅 😅
Even the scorers chart is heating up, everyone is coming for Eze's position, would he keep up?

INTRODUCING THE PRIDE OF THE CORPS AWARDS AND GET TOGETHER CEREMONY.
Are you a corp member?
Serving in Egor Local Government Area, Edo State?

Servicom Vanguard Group in conjunction with Nysc Egor LGA presents the award/get together ceremony.
Plans have been made to celebrate everyone during this upcoming program especially in the presence of the NYSC state coordinator who is also going to attend the program as the chief launcher.
Three major activities are going down that day: Launching of magazine, Award & Recognition and Keynote address & Get together.
It's a time to jolly.
Remember that friend you met in camp but you haven't seen in months?

EVENT UPDATE!!!
Emotions ran through as the Editorial team went into the fixture against DFQC looking to secure a win, however, in a very one sided first half, DFQC sent the Editorial team to the showers. Two nil it ended in favor of the team.
Elsewhere, EPSG bounced back from their defeat to Charity by overpowering the MHSG team in a very highly contested game. The result sees them secure top spot for the now while booking their place in the finals.
Anti Corruption/NEMA ensured there was no act of corruption as they were brutal in the defeat of Servicom. The win booked their place in the next round, as Servicom will be needing a victory to qualify for the next round.
FRSC did all the talking as they secured maximum point against the Legal Aid team.
This moves them to second position and needing a draw to qualify for the next round.
Tope and Daniel both continued their fine run as they close in on Eze on the scorers chart. It would be fun to watch them compete.
The last round of group stage games continue today.
Will Servicom get the much needed win to move to the next round?
Or will Anti Corruption/NEMA once again keep up the winning run?

Welcome back guys, yesterday we had the official kickoff from our ever capable and amiable LGI, in person of Mr Nosa Ogboghodo.
Of course, we were in awe of his exemplary football skills. ☺️☺️☺️

EVENT UPDATE!!!
MATCH DAY 2.
Match day two started with a whole lot of enthusiasm, Agro Allied, MHSG and hosts EPSG, looked to build on an excellent opening day victories.
However, DFQC and SDG had other plans with DFQC showing the Agro Allied team why drugs sensitization is equally as beneficial as farming.
SDG also held the MHSG team to a stalemate in a tightly contested match.
Legal Aid and Servicom in their first game of the tournament managed to hold each other off with neither side finding the back of the net.
EmmyKay had other plans later in the evening though, as he ensured that the EPSG team dropped points. Charity, having lost their first game narrowly, came into this game with a lot of enthusiasm and ensured that it paid off by smashing a late goal.
In other news, the first red card was awarded to the Agro Allied team while the team captain maintained his position at the top of the Scorers chart.
The tournament continues today as DFQC and Editorial battle it out for a place in the knockout stages.
Meanwhile, MHSG and EPSG fight for top spot.
Will Anti Corruption/NEMA continue their fine run or will Legal Aid maintain their unbeaten start to the competition?
All these and more would be unveiled at the field today.

EVENT UPDATE!!!
The 5-aside football competition kicked off on the 14th Sept, 2021.
The opening game of the tournament saw the host edge out SDG in a closely contested game thanks to a late Tope's goal.
Elsewhere, the editorial cds group were in wake of the Agro Allied team who sent them to the farm with a 3-1 scoreline with Eze grabbing all the goals.
Late kick off saw Anti Corruption/Nema and MHSG overcome FRSC and Charity by lone goals. Daniel and Chipper grabbing the goals.
The games continue today, will Agro Allied, EPSG and MHSG continue their brilliant start to the season or will they be overpowered?
Or will Servicom and Legal Aid show us how football is played?
All these and more will be answered by 5pm today, come and enjoy the good game of football.

EVENT!!!
Egor LGA, Edo state presents its inaugural 5 a side inter cds football competition.
It kick starts on the 14th to 19th of September 2021. The date in which the knockout stages will take place will be communicated subsequently.
This competition features 11 cds groups which are separated into 3 groups.
Group A and Group B features 4 teams each while Group C features 3 teams.
The total number of group stage fixtures are 15. Group A and B consists of 6 matches respectively while Group C consists of 3 matches.

EDITORIAL CDS Group, Egor LGA, Edo State
embarks on an in-house training on production of CUSTARD POWDER, MILO BEVERAGE and FRUIT SALAD.
25th August 2021
At about 10am, the Editorial CDS group of Egor Local Government Edo state had an in-house training where they were taught how to make CUSTARD POWDER, MILO BEVERAGE and FRUIT SALAD.
The lecturer was one of the CDS member in person of Anita Olufekor.
MAKING OF CUSTARD POWDER
INGREDIENTS for CUSTARD POWDER are as follows;
Cornflour
Milk flavour
Colouring and
Vanilla, banana flavour
PROCEDURES to making CUSTARD POWDER;
1: Pour the cornflour into a clean and dried bowl
2: Add the vanilla, milk flavour, banana flavour and colouring to the cornflour
3: Mix the contents in the bowl together.
That's the making of CUSTARD POWDER.
MAKING OF MILO BEVERAGE
INGREDIENTS for MILO BEVERAGE are as follows;
Cocoa powder
Icing sugar
Powdered milk
PROCEDURES to making MILO BEVERAGE;
1: Pour the cocoa powder into a clean and dried bowl
2: Sieve the icing sugar into the cocoa powder
3: Add the Powdered milk to it
4: Mix the contents in the bowl together.
That's the making of MILO BEVERAGE.
MAKING OF FRUIT SALAD
INGREDIENTS FOR FRUIT SALAD are:
Watermelon
Coconut
Banana
Pineapple
Groundnut
Condensed milk
PROCEDURES to making FRUIT SALAD:
1: Dice the fruits inside a clean and dried bowl
2: Add the groundnut to the diced fruits
3: Mix the contents together
4: Add the Condensed milk to the mixed fruits.
It can be served cold.

MEDICAL AND HEALTH SERVICE GROUP, NYSC EGOR LGA Organises a Health outreach on Diabetes for indigenes of Uselu Community at Uyi Amegor Hall, Egor LGC Secretariat, Uselu.

In attendance to flag off the event was the Ag. Chairman and HOLGA of Egor LGC Dr O. IGBINIGIE, top Management staff of the council, NYSC LGI Egor LGA, Mr N. Ogboghodo and Assistant LGI CDS NYSC Egor, Mrs Adiki.
ACTIVITY:The Ag. Chairman welcomed the group to Egor LGA and pledged sustained partnership/ Support.
Other activities for the day includes Registration, Diabetes screening, BP check, general consultation by Corps Medical Doctors,, counselling on food plan by dieticians, dispensing of drugs.
Number of participants screened and counselled on healthy lifestyle: 88
Total Number of Diabetic patients seen and treated(dietary advice and medications): 6
~Newly diagnosed Diabetic patients: 2

The group embarked on a sensitisation and awareness campaign on the need to shun corruption by ensuring they dont sell substandard motor parts to Evbareke Motor Spare parts, Uwelu Qtrs, Egor LGA.

Legal Aid CDS, Egor LGA, visits Edo Civil Society organisation, a major stakeholder on an advocacy visit.

Venue: 12 Ozigbo street, off Ekenhuan rd, Benin City, Edo State.
They were received by the interim Chairman, Bishop Dr. Osadolor Anthony Ochei JP.
They sensitized members of the CDS group on the operations of the organisation and pledged to collaborate with NYSC in any way possible when called upon.

SPIRIT OF HUMANITARIANISM
Show of humanity at its best as Corps Member Oduwale Adedapo (ED/20B/0143) serving at Federal Government Girls College, Ugbowo, Egor LGA, Benin City, Edo State gifted a wheelchair as part of his personal CDS Project to a physically challenged Corps Member Oladimeji Ahmed (ED/21B/0408) who showed up in Camp at Okada for the Batch B stream 1 2021 Orientation course without a wheel chair.

CDS ACTIVITIES REVIEW.
DFQC CDS group Egor LGA, Edo State visited Federal Neuro-psychiatric Hospital Uselu for lecture on the effects of drug abuse on mental health.
26th August 2021
The exercise started at about 10am, where the spokesperson highlighted a few effects of drugs abuse and the adverse reactions it has caused in our generation.
The group was however urged to encourage the masses to avoid taking high drugs and reduce the rate of death amidst other effects.
