Thanks to Pulse-Alternative Magazine for the review: ''Refreshingly D.I.Y. (but not amateur) and reassuringly retro (though not regressive)..a joy to hold and that’s before you even crack the pages open. Like those classic fanzines there’s a touch of Dadaism to its aesthetic..an arresting and intriguing sight..unexpected and unusual questions they read more like a conversation than a rigid interview and really get under the skin of the artists..there’s plenty of music reviews with bands who’d normally fly under the radar. The design is spot on with everything being nicely proportioned. Brill.''

KNUP ROARIN 20s FANZINE-Issue 3
There’s so much I miss about the analogue age: tape trading, buying the music papers on a Wednesday, and fanzines. The latter in particular was vital in learning what was happening in the various underground scenes across the globe. At any gig an independent fanzine was an essential purchase and, like buying merch directly from the artist, it put your pennies directly in the pockets of those who produced the art.
Presented in glorious monochrome there’s something refreshingly D.I.Y. (but not amateur) and reassuringly retro (though not regressive) about KNUP ROARIN 20s that makes it a joy to hold and that’s before you even crack the pages open. Like those classic fanzines there’s a touch of Dadaism to its aesthetic. The cover picture, taken out of context and with the eyes blacked out (to protect the innocent) makes an arresting and intriguing sight. Inside is an interview with terminal trainspotters Eastfield (alongside interviews with The Bleach Boys, The Crash Mats, The Riders Of The Night) with unexpected and unusual questions they read more like a conversation than a rigid interview and really get under the skin of the artists.
Due to the lockdown gig reviews are non-existent but there’s plenty of music reviews with bands who’d normally fly under the radar, so of them you won’t know and some you might. The design is spot on with everything being nicely proportioned (no eye-straining pictures here) and the background graphic unobtrusive.
Brill.
