Mbabane: Lunga Vilakati, well known for his stage name Acee Stalor is all set to providing the kingdom of eSwatini with a flavour never tasted before. The young rapper, speaking to the News Source eSwatini says his passion for music was inspired by the movie, Let it shine, which I'm sure many of the music fanatics and the youth can relate to. Believe it or not, this is the movie that triggered his urge for rap music. He was fanatically drawn to his talent.

Acee Slator is set on hard work. "Releasing content that is relatable to people than a turn up, but mostly, I write about myself." He mentioned to the editor. Inevitably, the Swazi nation should anticipate a mixtape titled X chromosome this year. " I am representing other males," he said, the project features about 15 songs. This work is followed by his previous work on the year 2020, where his debut release, B.I.G ( Better Integrity Growth) was well received by his revellers and had them thirsty for more, the project is still available on Sound cloud and Audio Mack.

Consequently, Slator released yet another project titled T.F.B (The Free Beats E.p) where he jokingly mentioned it was dropped hastily as a demand from his fans.

On the rising concern of originality, Acee Slator stated that in his music, "people should look out for me, I am always talking about the truth, like the project T.F.B, a lot of my fans said they related to my craft." However, the young artist is not only based on music, his photography career is also a trendy topic since he handles it personally. " I have a splendid eye, the composition and the way I capture a picture has a story behind it." Also, the young artist mentioned he has previously catered his services to quite a number of big events, he was savvy on such pressures. Interested people can instantly find him on Facebook, under the name SlatorShots, and on Instagram SlatorShotFilms_378

As any other artist, Acee Slator has been greatly influenced by international big shots of the likes, Chris Brown, which he describes as relatable to his mission. Also, Kendrick Lamar, which the artist described as, "crazy, his element of craziness and explosive bars relates to me quite deeply man," he responded chuckling. His interest in Drake is his visionary setting. Brave and his no show off lifestyle.

In conclusion, the artist is very interested in working with local musicians, although admittedly, the language is not his strongest forte. " If the artist is good and doesn't miss the flow, not off beat. I can work with those." Acee also has a wish the government would consider handing paid awards to motivate local artists. Also, the entertainment sector should also be given a chance as other businesses have been opened, since this is how they survive. With the support, he claims the invitation of foreign artists should be minimal compared to the local artist. " The radio stations could also do better, play our content more than the foreign songs, our music should not be put on certain times, we need to hear our people more."

Gender Based Violence has been fast after Covid-19 the most excelling virus in the world, even inside borders of our own little kingdom eSwatini.

Having witnessed the major roles and efforts put in by SWAGGA ( SWAZILAND ACTION GROUP AGAINST ABUSE) and others like One billion rising, the country is surely under a great storm of terror, from the no tools force of the pandemic. Swaziland has experienced a drastic change in the number of abuse cases, which however is no surprise since schools are not open where students are considerably safer from most situations that may arise at home.

Honourable Mduduzi Simelane, a very vocal member of parliament has voiced his concerns on the matter. Speaking to the News Source eSwatini, he admitted that the Gender Based Violence issue is one of the matter concerns in the country. Furthermore, he states, " This issue is in my heart actually a thorn in my heart....
Frustration is the major cause of the rise...
We need to address this with a strong will-power across our society," said the Siphofaneni MP.

Gender based violence is notably not only a violation of a person's privacy and peace, but goes as further to mental disturbances, since in it's nature, it abuses a person's confidence and pride.

Our nation has the ability to fight for each other's rights and beliefs, no matter our backgrounds and beliefs, as an umbrella nation, there is nothing to stand in our freedom except ourselves, be either the pandemic, oppression or any other existing issue unaddressed.

MBABANE: Isn’t it great when the young show a promising future even in the midst of the pandemic? Well I can safely say that this gives hope to the hopeless as most of the youth have given up on their dreams because of the scourge of the virus.
Bayanda Ndzimandze, a young Liswati from Ngwane Park, Sihlahleni who some may know him for some of his work as a writer in our local newspapers is promising us a book that will leave many wanting for more.
When interviewed by this News Source Eswatini, Bayanda described “Isolated Showers” as a crime story, not the usual Bonnie and Clyde type, this is about religious misuse which he is pretty sure only Africa will relate to more .
“In my book people should expect a lot, like how the misuse of power can damage more than your life, but other people too. From reading this book, one will realize that Africans are not evil, but the misuse of culture is. Survival is the basic instinct of life, its recognition is key and a strong identity is the key to our whole life,” Ndzimandze stated.
The author said his motivation is God, he never sits down for writing without hearing His voice first and that is always his first instinct. He further encouraged the youth that is passionate about writing to never stop writing especially those writing in English as English does not only limit their career to Eswatini, but there are hundreds of countries who read English and translations could be made to suit our language.
Bayanda shared his sentiments that if the Government wants to see more of authors in this country, it should allow arts students as much an opportunity as sciences, since fish cannot be judged by climbing trees but about what they know best, water.
The “Isolated Showers” is currently in possession of a traditional publisher, running professional preparations for international publication, the necessary information of accessing it will be revealed here in News Source Eswatini.

There's no celeb in SD

I can bet my life on this one, in any random crowd, if you can approach them and make them name a famous person in our country, besides royalty, politicians or a couple artist they know no one.

In our country, there's a lot of talented bodies which when their journey begins at the back of our yards or just behind the desk in class, there's so much demotivation it gets nowhere. It is quite prominent there are a lot of suppressions and pressures, especially jealousy and hatred from our own.

A lot of people did not know or follow Sandz, but the moment he stepped out of our gates everybody knew even where and who he is born from. Interesting isn't it? Of course it is, when a person has to make it big in other countries for them to find notice in their country. But the terms of jealousy and hatred accompanied by lack of support are just baby issues to the bigger hustles that aren't addressed.

Who speaks about these things? What I call baby issues cannot be changed, its natural to have people who oppose or dislike but in Swaziland it goes way deeper than that, it is systematic. If making a case with our home grown music, artists worry this country does not award excellence overtly.

Sphesihle, well known as LadySphesh, a local sensational singer had opened up about how the stigmatisation of local artists go beyond the petty hate. In her own words she expressed that even local radios do constantly play the local songs charitably without inclusion or a table discussion of royalties. It is as if they are doing the local artist a favour for their hard work.

The artist also further explained that even the local major banks only focussed on football and other activities and has a deaf ear to the music industry.

The question then as to how do we expect our own people, even outside of music to excell at anything? They cannot. The country is capable of doing much more than that, a room for improvement with basis of issue should be taken into serious consideration.

Napoleon once said, " the world suffers a lot. Not because of the violence of the bad people. But the silence of the good ones." I have personally addressed the woes of our own, but the real questionis, if you keep quiet, who will speak for you?
