Laundry Restock 🧺 I redecorated a little. It’s not permanent and I have a few projects planned but since they have been in progress for over a year I figure I could change it up a bit. One of my goals this years is to learn how to use the power tools I bought to do the projects. 🫠I’ve watched too many DIY shows and Instagram accounts but it turns out I can’t snap and it’s done. Day 15 of Organizing: Medicine Cabinet Organization 💊 My organization challenge is going to continue this year. I was hoping I would get it all done in a couple months but some of my spaces need quite a bit of storage containers and I don’t want to buy everything at once. I don’t want to have to reorganize later so I want to be sure I have all of the cabinets and containers I need! The garage is going to be a big one this year and a pricey one 🫠 I’m manifesting a garage storage company reaches out for a collab 🤞I also need to do the attic and I would rather clean my floors with a toothbrush 😩 In our house we have what we call ‘departments’. His mom actually came up with this and I loved it. Essentially, just like in a store, we both have different areas of the home that are our full responsibility. Anything from chores to rooms. The garage is his department so if it looks like a disaster I don’t care but that also means i occasionally throw things in his department and close the door 🫣 Boxes, donations, garden supplies, anything that can potentially be stored in a garage. He does a great job keeping his things tidy but I am a tornado and can and will destroy any room in a matter of minutes 😂 I am not a professional organizer and the whole reason I started organizing is because I’m a bit of a rat. I have a really bad habit of grabbing a bag and shoving everything in it and putting it in a closet before people come over. I have bought so many duplicates of things because I lose them and I was getting really discouraged cleaning my house because items didn’t have homes. I’m so far from perfect and I’m trying to find what works best for me. The *aesthetic* organizing is the ONLY thing that has stuck for me. I want to keep it pretty so I put my things away. I don’t know the psychology behind this but I think it could be because I’m a Taurus 🤷🏻‍♀️. If one of your goals this year is to get more organized I would give it

Enjoyed a slow Sunday with a relaxing lavender milk bath 🛁.This weekend I’ve been practicing slow living and being non productive. I read a book while drinking my coffee, made a pretty floral arrangement for my table, and even danced in the rain a bit with Boxley. The older I get, the slower I get, because honestly what’s the rush? I think it’s because I have realized happiness for me isn’t getting a promotion and it can’t be bought. It’s the simplest moments spent with people I love. It’s reading books while it rains. It’s walking barefoot in the grass to pick flowers. The to do list will always be there; so put down the pen and go dance in the rain 🌧
