Today, a Glacier broke off in Chamoli District, Uttarakhand, causing a massive flash flood in Dhauliganga River. Around 170 labourers working at the Rishi Ganga power project are missing and 9-10 dead bodies have been recovered yet from the river. The search-operation is still underway.

Pfizer withdraws its application for emergency use of its COVID-19 vaccine in India. Which it has developed with German company BioNTech.

The decision came after a meeting between Pfizer and Central Drugs Standard Control Organisation, where the CDSCO experts declined to accept Pfizer's request for approval, as the company has not done the Small Local Trial to check the vaccine's immunogenicity for Indians.

The Central Board of Secondary Education(CBSE) released the Class X and XII exam date sheet today. The exam is scheduled to start on May 4th and will finish on June 11. It includes 111 subjects and will be completed in 39 days. To reduce the duration, the exam will be conducted in two shifts.
