Happy to announce it's only ONE MONTH until the premiere of our podcast, Professors of Pop!

For our first episode, we'll be talking about Controversial movies. Did you know that when Monty Python first released their 1979 film Life of Brian, it was considered so controversial that it was banned in several countries? The producers capitalized on this by including tag lines like "So funny it was banned in Norway!"

Learn this and much more when class will be in session July 15th!

THE CARETAKER was directed by yours truly, assisted by an awesome group of both experienced and newbie film geeks. It couldn't have been completed without the multi-talented Matthew Gardiner for instance, who worked on the film as director of photography/editor/actor/ and many other small roles. And of course, my lovely sister Liz who stepped in to be our star.

I'm very proud of our little film, rough edges and all. We've all had those moments sitting around with friends saying "wouldn't it be cool if we made a movie..." and we actually made it happen! We already have other projects in development and I can't wait to share those with you very soon.

The film will be live-streamed on our page tomorrow at 7 pm est, and I hope you all check it out! If you can't at that time don't worry, we'll post a link here shortly after.

THE CARETAKER tells the story of Anna (Liz Laughlin) a lonely waitress who's spent the majority of her life caring for her infirmed and emotionally abusive mother Beatrice (Marilyn Gabriel). Eventually, the toll of her small and claustrophobic life starts to get to her and Anna becomes incapable of distinguishing fantasy from reality.

The film premieres here on the 41 productions page this Friday at 7pm (est).

First off, a huge THANK YOU to everyone who's liked our page so far! We're happy to have you here and look forward to sharing our journey with you.

As you can see from producer/sound engineer Jerry Gabriel's hockey stick boom mic, THE CARETAKER wasn't a glossy Hollywood production. It was a passion project from a group of artists eager to see how much they could accomplish on an extremely limited budget.

Our first shout out goes to all the family and friends who pitched in what they could to help make our movie-making dreams a reality. We couldn't have done this without you!

Welcome, to the 41 Productions page! As you can immediately tell from the photo below, we're an independent production company that produces intellectual, highbrow, classy content. 😉

Over the next week, we'll be teasing images like the one below from our first official project; the low-budget short thriller THE CARETAKER starring Liz Laughlin, Sully Frazer, Matt Gardiner and Marilyn Gabriel.

The film will officially premiere here on our FB page next Friday, March 27th!
