“Hey Alex, where’s the new Wicked Crime episode this week?” Good question! I had planned for the episode on Chappaquiddick to be out on Sunday but researching it has been a series of different twists and turns. So I needed a little extra time to get it ready (and I’ve been very busy!) It’s gonna be a longer episode with a lot of info in it, so you guys can look forwarding to listening to it on Sunday 🙂 If you’re interested in the story and like watching movies, John Curran directed a movie about the case in 2018 with a great cast that gives one interpretation of that strange night…I’ll post the trailer below and it’s available on Hulu!

BREAKING NOW: Accused Springfield serial killer Stewart Weldon is expected to plead guilty for multiple murder charges a month ahead of his trial. Multiple bodies were found on his property in 2018. You can watch this live right now on WWLP. Look forward to an episode at a later date.

Accused serial killer Stewart Weldon is expected to plead guilty Tuesday afternoon, less than a month before he was scheduled to go on trial.

Alex, when will Wicked Crime season 3 be out?? Well, that's a good question. My personal life has been absolutely crazy this last month, but I will tell you that I've been working on things and have episode one (technically twenty-one) nearly done. I'm hoping in the next month I'll get rolling and start having episodes come out! Thank you all for being patient! A little sneak peak about episode one? It's about one of the most well-known true crime cases out of Western Mass. And that's the murder of Lisa Ziegert. Stay tuned friends!

Has anyone else been on a Netflix true crime binge lately?? I've always been fascinated by the mysterious death of Elisa Lam and Netflix created The Vanishing at the Cecil Hotel which is a pretty good depiction of the entire case. Which includes some very disturbing details. Was Elisa killed by a member of the hotel staff? Did she have a mental breakdown and it led to a horrible accident? Or was she murdered by some crazy supernatural entity (aka Richard Ramirez's ghost)?? I definitely recommend watching the documentary, especially if you've never heard of this case. Are you guys watching any good documentaries right now?

I can’t get over this mug that Steph got me as a late Christmas present. Love! Maybe even a future merch idea? 😏 The final episode of Season Two will be out tomorrow! I’ll be covering the unsolved murder of Karina Holmer.

Episode Nineteen is up! I cover the case of the 1995 murder/suicide of Harvard roommates Trang Phuong Ho and Sinedu Tadesse. Many people blame Harvard for their lack of mental health services and that they had multiple warning signs that Sinedu was struggling and needed help. Since then, they have tried to hire more staff and get more resources for students, but is it enough?

On May 27th, 1995, Harvard student Sinedu Tadesse stabbed her roommate Trang Phuong Ho 45 times before she hung herself in their bathroom. Many believe that Harvard had plenty of warning signs of Sinedu's deteriorating mental health and never stepped in. But are they really to blame for what happene...

Episode Eighteen is here! In it, I have Steph as a special guest and we discuss Massachusetts cryptids (and tell a few funny stories along the way). Are things like Pukwudgies real? Could there have really been a Sea Serpent that hung around off the coast of Gloucester in the early 1800s? Listen to the episode to learn more about these creatures and if they could actually exist or not.

Little update for the next podcast! So originally I planned on getting an episode out this weekend about Massachusetts cryptids, but since I plan on having a special guest (and because it's a crazy time of year), we need a bit of time to set up recording it. So my solution? I'll be doing an episode about Springfield serial killer Alfred Gaynor and have it out by next weekend! Gaynor killed at least 9 women and surprisingly enough, not many people know about him. Have you heard of Alfred Gaynor?

Episode Fifteen is finally up! A little later than usual (because life sometimes gets a little hectic for me) but in this episode I covered the New Bedford Highway Killings, which took place between 1988-1989. It's an entire unsolved serial killer case that not many people have heard of. The killer could be responsible for other killing sprees, like the Lisbon Ripper murders in Portugal, though this has never been proven. Or was it some transient killer who's never been identified to this day?

In 1988 to 1989 eleven women went missing and 9 were found murdered on the side of the highways outside of New Bedford, MA. All of them seemed to have been possibly strangled to death. The killer was never found though there are a few interesting suspects who could be responsible. Or was it a transi...

Episode 13 is up! I talk about the history and the hauntings that surround the Hoosac Tunnel and how the entire project was probably doomed from the start. Was the mountain they tunneled through possibly cursed? The tunnel claimed nearly 200 lives, cost $20 million to make, and was nicknamed The Bloody Pit because of all the deaths and accidents there. And it’s still being used today.

In this episode, I look into the history of the Hoosac Tunnel which came to be on known as the Bloody Pit because so many men died building it. Welcome back to Wicked Crime! I'm kicking off season two with one of the most notorious unsolved crimes in Massachusetts: the murder of Andrew and Abby Borden. Though Lizzie Borden has always been the prime suspect, did she actually commit the murders? Or was it her uncle who'd gotten into a fight with Andrew the night before? Her older sister who might've hired someone to commit the crime? In this episode I talk about events leading up to the case and even touch on how the house of Second Street is one of the top paranormal destinations in the state.

It's the season finale! I had Ashley Clinton as a co-host and we discussed three Western Mass true crime cases. The unsolved and unidentified Granby Girl who was found murdered in 1978, the unexplained death of 16-year-old Ashley Turniak of Agawam who went feet-first through the passenger window of a car on Interstate 91, and the three murders of Antoine Banks from Springfield, one of which was the mayor's aide Stephen Pegram. We talked about our thoughts on each case and even had an update on Bishop Weldon.

The season finale will be up tomorrow! In the meantime, here's an article about former Springfield bishop Christopher Weldon that confirms he was sexually abusive. He was bishop during the time of Danny Croteau's murder and may've known what happened or some believe he was involved in a cover up due to his close relationship with the Hampden County District Attorney Matty Ryan. He is now on the Diocese's list of credibly accused clergy.

Retired judge Peter A. Velis also criticized the diocesan review board that first heard the alleged victim’s account in June 2018.

Due to everything currently happening around the U.S., I've decided to switch the case in the next episode. Doing a case about murder, mental illness, and women of color just didn't seem appropriate right now, so I hope you'll understand the switch in topics. Instead, I'll be focusing on Lewis Lent, and I'm currently working on research and a script for his episode. I apologize for the delay! As I always say at the end of every episode: take care of yourself, look after yourself, but also, look after each other. We need it nowadays

The next podcast will be up soon, the research on this one is pretty extensive. Maura Murray's disappearance is one of the most talked about cases on the internet because of all the various theories about how she could have went missing. Did she die of exposure in the woods? Did she run off to Canada to start a new life? Or did a killer pick her up the night of her disappearance? I'll be discussing the many possibilities in the next episode.

Also check out the security footage from the night Achim Bailey disappeared. The employees at Samuel's said he wasn't intoxicated and even his bank statement proved he wasn't over-served, yet this video might possibly say otherwise. He ended up walking around downtown Springfield at 2am in 13 degree weather and never called for a ride home. Could he have been given something more than alcohol at the bar?

The 5th and final episode of The Murder of Danny Croteau is now up! This episode is mostly wrapping things up about the case and what happened after Father Lavigne's trial. Thank you for following Danny's story and hopefully one day there might be a break in this case (or at least more testing done). If anyone has any information regarding this case, please contact the Hampden County Sheriff's Department at (413) 505-5993.
