Indira Gandhi was the great politician and capable leader of the twentieth century

Sarbashis Kumar Paul

" The improvement of people's lives is the first duty of a government. All over plans and programs have been undertaken to strengthen the nation and to take it further on the path of self -reliance so that it can solve its old and new to problems"-Indira Gandhi

Indira Gandhi was born into an aristocratic family. Her grandfather Motilal Nehru's prophecy about Indira Gandhi was that this girl would one day be more than a thousand sons. The famous poet and freedom fighter Sarojini Naidu saw Indira Gandhi as the most "proud" child she has ever seen in India and foretold that this girl would one day be the "Will take the form of a new soul of India "That is why their prophecies of that day matched word for word.Indira Gandhi was a fresh, bright, beautiful, perfect, lively, energetic character. She had extraordinary evaluation ability.Teji Bachchan, an intimate girlfriend had known for a long time, said-" Indira Gandhi had the extraordinary ability to forget her misery, to bring joy and comfort to the people around her, a power that very few people knew about".Her empathy for others was not limited to his family and friends but extended beyond the boundaries of acquaintance.Yet very few people were aware of this gentle, compassionate, humane, selfless aspect of her character. But later realizing her loving nature, people were able to respect and love her in return. It was as if they instinctively realized that Indira Gandhi had the power and the humanity to solve their problems. One of his fans said that if Jawaharlal is described as "Bharat Ratna", then his daughter Indira should be called "Bharat".For many, that's why Indira and India are the same "Indira is India".Indira Priyadarshini was born on 19th November 1917 at "Anand Bhavan" in Allahabad. The city is located at the confluence of the Ganges, the Jamuna, and the Saraswati. This city is famous for its religion. At that time it was a major center of Indian culture and discipline.Grandfather, Motilal Nehru was a famous advocate of Allahabad High Court. His personality was keen and radiant.Ananda Bhavan was a house like a huge palace.Although the former residence of the Nehru family was in Kashmir, he later settled here.Famous people came here. This Ananda Bhavan was visited not only in the country but also abroad. The wife Swaruprani was such a worthy wife. They had two daughters and an only son, Jawaharlal.According to family sources, Indira came in contact with many talented people from her childhood. Many of them were involved in the freedom struggle.Indira Gandhi used to hear different voices and different opinions from her childhood.Indira Gandhi loved her mother very much. The Nehru family had close contact with Gandhiji.According to Indian philosophy, Indira's parents made her a human being.Jawaharlal Nehru was a famous historian and writer. From a very young age, he used to read books to encourage Indira and occasionally come and sit next to her and read plays. She first got admitted to Modern School.Later, she was admitted to a school called St. Cecilia, run by the Cameron Sisters. In 1926, she went to Europe with her parents. She was admitted to Geneva's L'Ecole International School. She respected the principal of this school very much. She used to write letters to her till her death. He lived to be about 100 years old. Here she met French writer Roma Rolla, German playwright Ernest Toller, and the famous scientist Einstein. She returned to the country in mid-1928.In,1934, her mother left her in Santiniketan. She later went abroad to study at Oxford. He re-entered the country in April 1941.On March 26, 1942, Indira Gandhi married Feroze Gandhi. In February 1955, Indira Gandhi became a member of the Congress Working Committee. She was elected President of the Indian National College in February 1959.In January 1996, Indira Gandhi was sworn in as the Prime Minister of India. The bitterness of the Chinese invasion and the bitter experience of Pakistan continued until She took over the country in 1966.But in her personality, fearlessness, courage, and instinct were strong. For example, during the 1965 war, she went to Kashmir herself to meet the Kashmir border guards and give them courage, even though she was told that the time was not at all safe. When the party of 1967 won, she again became the Prime Minister of India.During this time, fourteen banks were converted into state banks as per government directives. This was an important decision for Indira Gandhi which she took completely in her opinion.Even this decision caused a stir in the political, economic, and governmental circles of the country.Indira Gandhi bravely led the war against Pakistan on December 3, 1971.She declared a state of emergency in 1975 through the President. She wanted the defeat of all anti-state ideologies and forces to divide the country and the unity and orderliness of the state to be observed.During his time, on May 18, 1974, the first peaceful nuclear explosion took place at Pokhran in Rajasthan. The government's attitude in this regard was to clarify that we had no plans to build nuclear weapons. We wanted to bloom in the desert, we had no intention of turning the world into a desert. On 19 April 975, India's first spacecraft and satellite Aryabhata was launched into the sky by ISRO from the Soviet's Cosmodrome. Then more new plans were taken. In India in August, the SITE plan was adopted. In February 1977, Indira Gandhi inaugurated the second satellite station in India at Dehradun. In 1997, Indira Gandhi arranged an election in the country, and this time the Congress lost to the Janata Party. In January 1997, Indira Gandhi was awarded the title of "Bharat Ratna".In 1980, Indira Gandhi's party, the Congress (E), was elected by a landslide. On July 18, 1980, India entered a full-fledged space age. This was the second satellite of India entitled SIV-3 that was released from the Sriharikota. She loved sports very much.During his tenure, the ninth Asian Games were held in November 1982 in New Delhi, India. Then Indira had to listen to a lot to waste the country's meager money. But even then, Indira's only dream was to establish India in the world of sports.Indira did not cooperate with the "Green revolution" in various ways. She introduced many new trends in agriculture with modern equipment, advanced machines, new scientific methods of cultivation, more improved fertilizers, better seeds, better crops, effective irrigation systems, etc.The widespread use of these greatly improved the agricultural system. She had a deep interest in education.Indira Gandhi was happy with modern medicine and had a deep faith in Indian medicine.Indira Gandhi wanted 'India to be a prosperous and self-reliant country.Indira Gandhi believed in the unity of the country and the diversity of Indian culture.Indira Gandhi's glorious triumphant life came to an end on October 31, 1884, at the hands of two of her bodyguards. The funeral was held on the 3rd of November.Millions of mourners attended the event, who lost the country and the world to this beloved leader.
