Last season was a crazy one. I partnered up with Madison Blackley and decided to escape the crowded resort towns and busy zones to search for mellower places and good vibes. We spent time in California, Idaho, Wyoming and Utah looking and turns out it’s not hard to find. The Wild West, or hinterland, is much closer than you might think!

Last summer I had the pleasure of filming an expedition that was part of a documentary for Range Meal Bars. We hiked/climbed a couple peaks in the North Cascades and documented the long trek and spicy climbs. A lot of the footage is in the documentary if you want to check it out!

First trip over state lines for the season. Like always we spent lots of time and effort fixing sleds, battling weather and scouting for zones. All the hard work paid off and we came away with some solid content and good memories.

This was my first time visiting the Sierra’s in winter and they didn’t disappoint. Plenty of fresh snow and incredible terrain. I did forget how fickle the weather can be along the coast but we still found the goods!

Sorry for the long hiatus! It’s been a long summer of editing, resting and catching up on life.
