Born In Miami, Florida, Raised in Venezuela/Panamá Sebastian Mendoza is crazy and passionate about the Underground House Music.

Since childhood Sebastian’s family has been listening various music genres going from Rock & Roll to contemporary jazz, soul, funk and 80s 90s pop rock/ballads anthems that helped him to get that nostalgic old school sound on his music.

Mendoza is capable of creating a lot of material; from the most obscure minimalist sounds to the 90s iconic house rave sounds, trancy arps, inmense soundscapes, organs with stabs and a lot of obscure secret sampling techniques, blending famous old school vocals, understanding the times and respecting the house music structure is one of his greatest strengths.

About a year ago when I had first started the label I met this lovely human Katharine Aura Abrahams. We instantly bonded with our similar taste in psychedelic, jazzy and groovy underground minimalist records. Katharine quickly became my favorite DJ and an even closer friend. Fast forward to today I’d love to officially announce her becoming apart of the team here and helping me organize our latest endeavor, Selekt Sessions.

Katharine has delivered countless mixes you can hear online, each with its own purpose and vibe. She is the definition of a selector and curator of vibes. She has assembled a list of some of the absolute best producers and DJs and we will be bringing mixes from them to you over the next few months with our brand new podcast series.

Our first offering comes from fast-rising UK duo Last Pines - the brothers take us on a minimalistic journey through some of their firm favourites and own productions. With their recent release on series which sold out in a few days, Clay and Heath now look forward to a 3-tracker on later this month, with a new remix coming just before..

A short bio from our host, Katharine has been influencing dance floors playing sideways house in Australia since 2000, and now makes mixes for collectives around the world who appreciate her take on minimal. She has a unique way, intuitively selecting & slipping between the sublime & mysterious, with raw street sounds, a twisted funk and house bounce. She smoothly threads her sessions together with a strangely satisfying & homogeneous groove. Katharine runs her label and party series Motion:Theory:Music with Ben Abrahams and Jules David - renowned influencers of the East Coast underground.

Based in Brooklyn, NY, Rupert Wall has been swiftly making waves in the underground dance community. His eclectic style of psychedelic and jazzy minimal house & techno records creates a captivating and hypnotic vibe on the dance floor.

Taking inspiration from the likes of the Romanian and UK underground scenes, he has been developing his own sound of underground music. Spaced out, deep, low swung grooves is his style of choice, and he's invested in expanding his knowledge base by continually creating and collecting music. A computer nerd at heart, Rupert's love for synthesizers and eurorack modular have helped shape the sound he pushes today.

In November of 2022 Rupert launched his latest project which is his label, Selekt Sounds. Featuring artists from around the globe, Rupert strives to showcase the hypnotic, psychedelic and jazzy sounds he's come to be known for.

Born & bred in Tbilisi, Georgia-
Shvili discovered her love for music as a child playing the piano. Growing up in the scene of Georgia, Tatia was exposed to the underground scene from an early age. From warehouse parties to raving on the beach; this all was very 
familiar to Shvili in her teenage years. 

Now based in Brooklyn, playing anything from old house records, to break-y minimal. Tatia has an ear for what grooves make people sweat. In recent history she’s played alongside artists such as: Andrey Pushkarev, Huerta, O.Bee & Tomas Station, Taimur, Usherenko, and many more talented selectors. 

Still new to the DJ circuit, but Shvili & her record bag have many years ahead of her to solidify her name amongst many internationally respected heads.

We are in for a treat this Friday when TIJN graces the decks for us at our inaugural party.

UK-born TIJN owns vinyl labels; Into The Wizards Sleeve, In Haus Wax, Deep Edition Recordings, Spooky Loops & self-titled, TIJN, plus various unnamed projects.

He’s been making house records since 2007 as Martijn, but more recently has adopted the name TIJN after taking on a more direct analog approach in his purpose-built studio.

An accomplished producer as well as dj, TIJN has played alongside renowned selectors such as Sonja Moonear, Nicolas Lutz, Steffi, Arapu, Priku and Dyed Soundorom, each time playing his own particular take on house, breaks & dub techno. TIJN is continually touring the UK & Europe, playing in numerous venues in Berlin, Paris, Amsterdam and Barcelona, along with regular spots in Manchester, Liverpool & Leeds, as well as holding a residency for Leftback Records based in Nottingham and a regular feature at the Gottwood & Wigflex festivals’ lineups. TIJN also has 3 international tours in the bag spanning North America, Australia & Asia.
