This week we are looking at Martin Scorsese’s The Irishman in celebration of his 80th birthday on Thursday!
It’s a type of film that Netflix claims they won’t make anymore. So we are thankful for giving Marty the chance to make it. While not for everyone, the film is a somber look at how the choices we make affect who we are. It’s a wonderful film full of great performances.

Continuing our look at some off-the-beaten-path Halloween movies this week we turn our attention to the underrate, Jennifer’s Body. Released in 2009 to lackluster reviews and middling box office numbers, Jennifer’s Body has come around to be recognized as the wonderful feminist horror film that it should have been seen as in 2009.

Also, I saw this movie on the Criterion Channel. So that legitimizes it.

If you’ve been following all of the Don’t Worry Darling press tour drama or lightly misogynistic backlash to the film, then you probably heard from those same sources that the film is a trainwreck. I’m here to report (to some disappointment I’m sure) that Darling is not.

We got an early look at Apple TV+’s newest release, Cha Cha Real Smooth which currently has a 91% rating on Rotten Tomatoes.

The film premiered at this year’s Sundance Film Festival where it won the Audience Award. Apple TV+ then swooped in to purchase the film for a cool $15 million. Be on the lookout for our full review tomorrow!
